I like the stereo that isnt fitted into the dash and the suspicious brown stains on the passenger seat

What I should say is that whatever you recommend she will probably get something different.

I call it a VTI-S because the badge on the back says it's a VTI-S, the logbook says its a VTI-S, it has VTI-S stitched mats, it's pirates black and has the VTI-S kit - what exactly are you getting at?
£2k is/was what it is worth.
i don't see what's wrong with the 2.0
you're clearly not in a position to be picky.

Boras are just a Passat in drag? Feel free to correct me..

Except for the fact there are no 2.0's for sale within budget within 50 miles of here. This is the point half of you seem to miss. All these wonderful cars I'd rather buy, such as Boras, Toledos, high spec Mk3 Mondeos, E46 318's, etc etc..
... are not for sale in Devon. And I am not wasting the last 2 weeks before I give my life up and work full time chasing up and down the M5 looking at crap cars 12 times before eventually finding one that isnt a nail, so it has to be reasonably local![]()

I think an EK would be a better suit for Fox's lady.

It was an EK, right? Was it a dog?
I see average condition EK4s going for well over £2k, and a friend recently sold his dog of a VTI-s for something ridiculous like £3250.
and if you feel like driving up to yorkshire you can get a v6 for £2k

I said this, indicating it's not the same as mine
It's an MB6 not an EK, no idea why they command so much more less. Travesty really.
