People are still using Windows Live Messenger? There's a lot better alternatives out there.

Is it possible to have movie maker 2011 installed but keep messenger 2009? when I run the 2011 installer it gives the option of installing all programs or updating what you've already got. I'm sure the 2009 installer asked you which ones to install

Can anyone get this to work any more? I've been using it successfully for several months but whenever I try to set the second name as that character now it just tells me...

"There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later."

Which is a blatant lie because setting it to a name works fine.

I went back to WLM 2009 version 14.0.8117.416

Not tried 2011 for ages, I doubt I am missing anything, don't do any of the social networking stuff.

I don't use Windows Live Messenger much but when I do, it works fine for me.

Been running 14.0.8117.416 for years now, not had an update prompt or anything. Not planning on it either since everyone keeps saying how bad the new one is, so as long as this keeps working, its not going anywhere

Use Apatch on your msn too, speeds it up and makes it ad-free.
