Living in University Halls

The rooms are a bit small, but you have an ensuite which is cool. Go out of your way to introduce yourself to people in nearby flats... unlike halls, it's a bit harder to make friends with people due to the lack of common areas. Whilst there are a few, the apartments SSA and GDS have less of a social aspect than Hampstead or King's College Halls.
Thanks for the advice mate. What are the common areas like in GDS?

They have computer rooms and a common room I think... it's just that Kings College Hall whilst the rooms not being as good and the location not as good has things like a Sky TV room, projector, Snooker and pool, squash courts and table tennis. Like I said, just make sure you're a sociable, friendly person. :)

Dont worry about it, I'm 22 as well (Although all my mates are a bit older than 18 - youngest just turned 20) and it makes no difference.

Infact I am the only one who gets asked for ID every time we go out

I actually had to DRIVE HOME and get some the other night when we were out for my friends 20th... everyone else was fine!

Hehe, may I ask where? I'm gonna take a guess at union rooms, I get IDed there quite often.

Beany, that's the same day I get back you stalker. Don't forget to get that Jakes!

Apparently my flatmate's friend went into Jakes once in a fat-suit and declared "Look what you've done to me."

Oh how I wish I was there :p

Moved into my halls yesterday and although not many people here yet its great, i'm loving not being at home and having to go out and do everything myself. Can't wait for everyone to move in although I just found out that the other guy thats staying in my flat is gay, I don't have a problem with that aslong as he isn't overly camp, hopefully the three lasses that have to move in will make up for it ;)

Ahh wouldn't worry about that, Walkabouts everywhere are quite strict on ID in my experience, think I got ID'd when I was last down in Plymouth when we went in there, and the only places I get ID'd usually are when I'm in the States!

I was in a group of 6 for a 20th Birthday... they all got in :(

Heh, I hate it when that happens. If you've got ID though, I don't see what the problem is. It's only a PITA if you haven't got any on you :)
