Liz Truss' huge net worth as she's entitled to £115k per year for the rest of her life

Doesn't an ex PM get that money for doing nothing?

The system is corrupt. This is why we're in money problems.

And these same people are calling out people on benefits.. smh
It is a lifetime allowance to carry out "public facing" work. It isn't like a slush fund they can blow on hookers and blow.

Guys, £164k isn't even that much. Did I educate you about the tapering allowance and how much it affects folks with a kid who get the £2k top-up?

MPs also receive expenses to cover the costs of running an office, employing staff, having somewhere to live in London or their constituency, and travelling between Parliament and their constituency.

And people still wonder why there’s a queue of venal scrotes that would sell their mothers to a Serbian snuff movie outfit to get a place at the Westminster trough with the other swine.

Yeah but they also have weirdos digging up every aspect of their life. It'd make my wifes boyfriend super nervous he would get his face on the TV so I am out.

TBH, I have no problem with paying that level of salary to the PM, it's not that much in comparison to other jobs for a job with enormous amounts of responsibility.

What I do object to is paying it to the succession of useless talentless ******* that we keep getting.

Agreed.

Blah, blah, blah.

Right listen if you value money above all else and think you are hard done by on the £164,000 salary plus numerous bonuses…. Then off you **** to the private world and stop pretending to be what we clearly see you are not. Bye, Bye.

If you seriously think giving these ******** more money will suddenly amount to them actually doing what they say they supposed to be doing, then let’s try it, but we want you to put your own fortunes on the line. Put your 8.5mil on the table Truss and if you get sacked after 44days for being an absolute muppet, you can wave goodbye to every penny you earned and every penny you have. Your on job seekers now it’s back to the real world.

Well, all the good candidates did **** off to the private world, and we're left with people like Liz Truss. How much do you think someone should be paid to be Prime Minister? Bearing in mind CEO's of large organisations are on around 10x the salary of our PM

The whole argument about what they are paid to get good candidates seems a bit disingenuous anyway.

You don't become a PM by succeeding at a job interview. You need to get elected by the public for a start and you can do that with very little talent. Also the skillset to be a good MP =/= with the skillset to be a good CEO, so then comparing PMs (who only come from MPs) with CEO's is rather moot.

There are probably IT contractors in the public sector, managing no one and earning something close to that, I don't think the PM does get any bonuses either. The additional perks of the job are the flat above no10, the use of a countryside mansion and someone to drive you around, she doesn't get to keep any of that!

I think they could boost the PMs pay, top judges earn more like 270k, that's perhaps more appropriate.

One thing she can boast about is that she was the first PM in 70 years to have two monarchs….
I said to my wife at the time you can almost hear saying 'Now I am the most important Liz in the country!'. Not saying there was anything suspicious of course. #Lizzie(con)spiracy

Turn your critical thinking on - it was a joke.
