I'm sure number plate theft from ulez compliant bikes will become a thing...
They are for cars, I seen them steal catalytic converters and number plates. Police response not interested in Richmond park.

Classic cars are exempt, lol. A friend has two classic cars. The rich won't be driving round in 8+ year old diesels or 18+ year old petrol cars, unless they are some sort of classic.
...unless they are some sort of classic.
I was thinking of getting one just for that. And Classics are exempt, anyway.
That's the standard warranty period provided by many manufacturers. That doesn't mean they are going to suddenly fail after that point. How long is the usual warranty on an ICE engine? Ignoring some of the newer marques like Kia/Hyundai and MG, isn't it 3 years? And yet, there are plenty of cars much older than that on the road still going strong. How very strange.
Absolutely true, they are more polluting to produce than ICE cars, and it takes almost 15-20k* miles to break even! Wait, that's only 2-3 years at the UK average of 7,400 - anything after that point is a net benefit.
You will also find Teslas and other EVs older than that on the original battery, and ICE cars which have had their engine replaced after a couple of years, I'm not sure what point you think you are trying to make?
You're also conveniently ignoring the fact that unless the battery has actually failed catastrophically, the usual "failure" mode of an EV battery is capacity reduced beyond what is deemed feasible for the car (usually around 70%), and they still have a useful life as energy storage outside of vehicle use. Tell me, what is the useful purpose of a trashed engine after it has been replaced?
* obviously dependent on how the electricity is generated.
Ah so if you're rich and run an old Rolls or something similar that stinks up the place, you can happily stick two fingers up at the plebs walking to work in the rain on the way to your private Mayfair club?
What a surprise.
Yes, that's the idea.Ah so if you're rich and run an old Rolls or something similar that stinks up the place, you can happily stick two fingers up at the plebs walking to work in the rain on the way to your private Mayfair club?
What a surprise.
Modern cars are plastic, not like classic cars.Engines are mostly metal, so they get melted down and recycled almost entirely. Metals can be reused over and over. Only something like 5% of dead battery contents are recycled currently, something they don't like to mention.

More worried about getting stabbed at a kebab shop tbhCheck see if it’s compliant, also you can ask and get an extension so you don’t need to pay for a number of years but you need to be a blue badge holder and something else I think.
My parents won‘t need to pay it until 2027 I believe, by then they should hopefully have a compliant car.
Also be careful stepping out the door in Romford, and accidentally dropping litter, you will have a gang of enforcement officers hiding around the corner and handing you a nice £150 fine.
No because England doesn't rebel. Will ULEZ cause Englands poll tax rebellion?
Will ULEZ cause Englands poll tax rebellion?
TDLR?So the ULEZ ruling in khanMingsfavour just means he has the power to do it - and is not a ratification that it is the most useful thing to do to reduce pollution,
to remind folks
Are Londoners Really on Board with ULEZ Expansion? We examined the Polls
The ULEZ expansion continues to divide political camps, with either side arguing that the public backs them.citymonitor.ai
still seems the whole Labour uxbridge loss is being attributed to that as opposed to people don't think much of Kiers other policies - no youguv survey to try and understand the truth ?
I can understand labour liking that narrative, and suppose the Cons don't disagree because the publics green vote intention is unclear.
Lol never will happen again in this country. "sedetary people", Overweight and selfish. Will ULEZ cause Englands poll tax rebellion?
IF you can work from home then you should not need to make a pointless travel to a workplace, regardless if its using public transport or drivingTo be honest I think encouraging people back into the office has been a massive wasted opportunity in terms of reducing congestion and pollution. An efficient trip is good but no trip is better for those things than one not taken at all.
This country caught up with persons identity, rather than anything serious.Need a French style rebellion. Protests and go round destroying the ULEZ cameras and signs.
