London pollution & ULEZ

Do you work for the London tourism board or something OP? I didn't even realise there was anyone who cared massively or it was a topic of hot contention of late to warrant a random thread "proving" otherwise, and the refuting of people's personal experiences is a bit weird. Like, sure, there's some evidence to say it's good or improved or whatever. Does that mean in literally 100% of cases London has amazing air quality? Hardly.

I really only found the underground the 'filthy' part, as others have said there have been occasions when I have black stuff coming out when blowing my nose after using the underground.
But above ground, wombling free, the air is fairly quality.

I can definitely feel the difference in the air quality whenever I visit, it also always has a slight smell to it.

Going back home where it's far more rural feels easier to breath, like there is more oxygen in the air.

It's a lot better than some other cities though. The air isn't 50% fecies like India.

Because of policies like the congestion charge.
Well it doesn't work very well then because London is more congested than ever. What is more likely to have had an effect is the changing EURO specifications making cars cleaner.

The congestion charge and ULEZ are just money grabbing tax schemes on motorists who have no choice but to still drive to work.

There have been plenty of studies that have proven a consistent link between the congestion charge and pollution.

Euro specs, that's great we've left the EU.

Sadiq Khan never said terrorism was part and parcel of living in a big city which is presumably what you are referencing. I can tell when people say this that they are quite likely thick.
I'm referencing the thing he actually said, which was in response to questioning about the incident that "you've got to be prepared for these things", which fed in to the the thing I actually take issue with, which was his general attitude around the incident.

Thanks for the insult though bro, I can see you chose smooth talker at character creation, and chose to assign your SPECIAL points in perception and charisma. I'd hold fire on spending any more on the speech skill, you wouldn't want to get OP and ruin your playthrough.

Are you saying our cars (most of which are manufactured abroad and for the EU market) will suddenly diverge from EURO standards? Because I'm highly confident they won't.

I really hope they do not expand the ULEZ, two companies I visit for sourcing stock regularly are within the proposed boundaries. I'm just starting out in my business (well, a year) so it's not going to cripple it but makes justifying visiting a lot harder.

It was crazy in that respect just after the peak of the first lockdown - the air quality around here and how easy it was to breath was remarkably different after just a few weeks of vastly reduced traffic. Sadly it has quickly resumed to what it used to be like.
