I think it is because there is "enough" of these threads in recent days/weeks/months to last a lifetime, given the discussion is always broadly the same. It makes you wonder why the posters feel the need to create the threads. Nothing really enriching in here, is there? Just like the last urban youth thread.

Well how bad are we going to let it get? London is an embarrassment for a country trying to sell secure and stable democracy.
When was the last time you went? You are tarring quite a big metropolitan area with quite a big brush right now.
There should have been action after a soldier had their head hacked off on the street.
Some of it stems from the utterly useless mayor though.

London is vast. It has pockets of obscene wealth, poverty and millions 'in between' just getting on with their lives. You'll do well to find somewhere as diverse and enriching as London is.

Don't think anyone denies that Khan is a bit of an idiot but as pointed out many, many times in this thread already, unfortunately it's a country-wide issue (a few of the other major cities have had knife/machete style attacks recently) and needs to be dealt with at government level.
Also, stop being a drama queen over London - you can quite happily go to a lot of London without getting stabbed or shot
That has nothing to do with what you initially claimed, or what you replied to, you said "Some of it stems from the utterly useless mayor though.", you were shown that it's not seen as big an increase from last year when compared to other regions and asked what you'd call the person responsible for +50% rises if a 7% rise is the result of an "utterly useless mayor". If a 7% rise is the result of Khan spending most of his time arguing on social media and passing blame then what have the people who are responsible for the +50% rises been doing?
I wouldn't dare to comment on the "brown Muslim being mayor" bit but it does seem this London knife crime thing is being used as a stick to beat someone with, for some reason.
Lets see the statistics on who is commiting most of these crimes.
