London violence reaching epidemic proportions

So is this thread just for "racists" to post about crime committed by certain groups and ramble on about cultural enrichment, immigration and so on?

If so, then yeah some groups do commit a higher proportion of crime for their population %. Could be a result of discrimination limiting opportunities to some extent, but clearly something is broken somewhere.

Remember kids, not all "racists" are actually racist, and not all people from other backgrounds are criminals.

School holidays again....
We saw this yesterday as we were going to Oxford circus tube station. At first it sounded like a group of people screaming at someone famous, it was when a large police presence moved in and multiple ethnic youths started to scatter and run we knew it wasn't good.

Shock and awe, the government do almost nothing to engage or support schemes for young people to keep them occupied so they find (admittedly wrong and illegal) ways for their under developed brains to be occupied.

My youthful defiance of authority was brought to a cheap and most effective end by a good beating. Those countries with corporal punishment enjoy a low level of such crime and anti social behaviour. I never told my father of having had the cane as I knew he'd say it wasn't applied hard enough and endeavour to trump my teacher's best efforts :)

Never had any of those schemes when we were younger. We did things like play games, sports, hang around with one another.
Amazingly none of it was criminal and we did things like show considerstion for other by keeping the noise down at night.

Glad I live in the outskirts of London and not the inner boroughs.
Same here, but honestly over the past 3-5 years i have slowly started seeing inner london move out this way and its really starting to go downhill, we are looking at moving further out now. Shame, i’ve lived here for 30 years and it was a great place to grow up imo.

There is a lot of trouble everywhere these days with young people acting up. Last year in the small town I live in, there were two unprovoked attacks by the same group on adults walking alone, one of whom ended up with a brain haemorrhage. Nothing ever came of it, so as far as consequences go, many of them simply don't get any for their behaviour.

Ah, another blame it on society merchant

And using the term “remember kids” in your posts makes you look like a patronising fool

I'm afraid this is why crime is on the up. You can pretty much do anything these days and get away with it.

Problem is that times have indeed changed. We didn't have social media that could be easily used to 'spread the word', teachers had a lot more authority and were respected and supported by schools and the police, the police themselves were respected and feared to an extent. And most of all, our parents took responsibility for our actions and their role in parenting.

And seemingly we have a soft approach to youngsters committing crime, should be a lot more strict and severe in punishment.

If severe punishment was a solution then America would be a paradise.

Thank you for articulating my point better than my previous post

The "When I were a lad..." defence is so typical of OcUK haha.

Were they not nicking trainers from JD, they must be able to tie their own shoe laces, so their brains can't be that under developed.

Well everyone and their grandmothers see the government nicking money from the taxpayer so naturally people start emulating and younger people more brazenly.

If you want to stop this degradation in behaviour... maybe stop electing thieves.
