LOST..... How do you think it will end

Did anyone notice if the number next to the losties names in cave matched up with THE numbers that hurley used to win the lotto?

I missed the last part due to phone call, seen glimpse but just got told about the names/numbers. Was just asking if there is any truth in it :)

Yes, as far as I am aware the numbers next to the Losties names corresponded to the lottery/hatch numbers etc.

Yup, it's the same numbers, hope we finally get an answer to what the numbers actually mean

I don't think what happened means the swan was never made if you watch the episode where thy are flying over the island not crashing you can see the camera pans under the water and there's a building and a shark with a dharma tattoo
 
I think the point of the alternative time line without Jacob's interventions is how they are still playing out very interconnected roles all leading to something. Remember though, in the original plane-crashing time line Hurley thinks he is cursed and the numbers are the root of that, in the alternative he thinks he is the luckiest person alive (not clear yet if he even used the same numbers to win)

Did you not watch the first season? a big part of that was the introduction of the numbers and how he won the lottery with them and where he got them from (the crazy guy who kept repeating them over and over) adding to that they were the sequence repeated by the radio tower / on the hatch.

LOL...you made the same mistake I did with his post, re-read how it's phrased :D

He missed the last few minutes and just wanted to know "if" they are the same numbers!
 
Now we know that the numbers are connected to the survivors i believe that the Valenzetti equation (predicts end of the world) is about how losties people let the man in black get off the island due to there actions. And Jacob has been trying to stop this , maybe they were always destined to go on the island and jacob was unable to change this due to the "rules" but Jacob has changed peoples life in a way which for better or worse will help keep the man in black on the island.

the ideal ending to lost would something feasibly true but ive not seen much of that so far, I think their struggling

Yes they were, first thing i noticed.

the name Kwon on the wall i recon isn't either Jin or Sun....its their baby!

Also its so clear now what the island is about.... its about heaven and hell, the fact Jacob wanted people to come to the island is exactly the reason why God created us, to have someone to love. The "new" John Lock is exactly the same as Lucifer aka the devil, Lucifer didn't agree with God's ways and fell from heaven as a fallen angel.... just look at the things the "new john lock was sayin.......

TO RICHARD:

" Jacob is recruiting"

All of the above is exactly what Lucifer would say to lead us in to SIN!

So in conclusion the island is what a lot of us originally thought its the final battle between good and evil!

Syid is evil however if you look at everything he has done has been done by either other people's commands or for the safty of the people! Which means Jacob needs Syid to kill "new " john lock!!!
 
This weeks episode is FANTASTIC! (Yes use of caps was justified!). If you want the original season 1/2 goodness make sure you tune in this week! :o

I don't have a source, but i'm sure this theory was floating around when Lost was relatively young and the creators shot it straight down. Maybe some other lost addicts can clarify this?
