Lost Season 5 (Sunday, Sky1, 9PM)

Season 5 definitely isn't as good as previos seasons, but I don't think you can beat the first 2. Saying that I have enjoyed it, the last episode was good and like others have said the last few episodes will be awesome.

Also Kate looked hot during the flashbacks ;)

Im pretty dissappointed by this season of Lost..

I didnt think I'd ever say that but I really think nothing is happening week to week...

The latest episode.. 11? is really poor

You're kidding right?

More is coming together in these episodes than the previous 4 seasons. Do a little reading around and work on your own ideas of what could be happening with the timeline, it's been really good so far! :D

I've watched every episode right from the beginning and while seasons 1 and 2 were amazing, everything since seems to be confusing for the sake of being confusing in my opinion! (it was bad enough without time travel!!!)

Its almost as if they didnt expect it to be as popular to fill out 5 or 6 seasons so they decided to just add in irrelevant carp!!!

I'll bet you all the tea in China that half of the "mysteries" are never even mentioned again, let alone explained!!!

Having said all that, I cant NOT watch the rest now can I!?!?! ;)

It's not just almost like that, that's exactly what happened :) It was never meant to be as long as it's become, but it was fattened out after being originally conceived as a show with fewer episodes per season. After the writers' strike though, it's now gone back to being shorter again.

Lay some blame at the door of ABC too. They make a huge amount of money from the show and have been milking this cash cow for nearly 5 years now.

How many of those mysteries were made up by the creators and how many of those mysteries were made up by the viewers? Jack's tattoo's for example. Originally they were just conversation filler and fan pressure meant the writers implemented some form of significance in to the story. A lot of hardcore viewers have concocted theories from small bits of information and now people demand answers to questions that have never really been asked.

I personally would like a lot of the mysteries to remain unsolved. Let the imagination run wild.

Yup, I said this to a friend of mine yesterday... wet Walt, talking to him on the computer... the list is long :(

The next episode looks really good! looks like Ben goes into the gooses nest, but remember....

its not the same nest we have all seen glimpses of, Bens in the different timeline 2008? So things will be different..

Its not spoilers! Its all in the Preview trailers for the next episode.

So its all speculation

Yeah, but now you know Ben goes into the temple. So when you watch next weeks episode you go "Oh, I saw this bit last week on the preview, so this isn't really that new to me. I knew he was gonna enter it anyway"

I don't watch the previews, as soon as the credits finish I turn it over. I don't even want to have an idea of what could happen.

i HATE previews. got into that during season 3 and its like watching half an episode before its out :(

only thing i do now is check screencaps of the episode last aired at spoiler blogsite. :D and readup on the wiki

I think the previews just show you parts in episodes to really hype you up for the next one!

But they are always known to twist them in so many different ways so it looks like somethings happening when it doesnt.

statue has been pondered about for aggggggges.

whys it only got 4 toes xD?
It is an Egyptian statue. Not Annubis or Horus, but Taweret. Goddess of child birth. Very suiting don't you think :) It has four toes, carries two onkhs and has short ears with a flat hat.

Why is it there? We don't know yet :) But there are many Egyptians hieroglyphics around the island. Actually Richard Alpert kind of seems like he's wearing eye shadow, like the ancient Egyptians. The initials of Richard Alpert also come to Ra.

Some other things:
-Bernard and Rose could become Adam and Eve in the cave back from season 1.
-When Sun and Frank get back to the barracks (where they meet Jacob), there are Dharma signs. This probably means that history has been changed and the purge didn't happen.
