Lost Season 5 (Sunday, Sky1, 9PM)

**spoilers i guess, if you havent watched all of series 5 so far**

So, i dont fully understand why only some of them are in the past.

At first i figured it's because both the past and present of any one person cant be in the same place at the same time... so that somewhere on the island Locke and Sun must also be there as kids or whatever, thinking that's the kind of ridiculous story twist they woudl throw in... but both Miles' are there.

Any ideas why they've been split?
 
I think its because its the Island that decides what, Jack, Hurley etc are sent to the past to do what they are supposed to do. Right upto the incident i think. Like its been said, the past has happend, it will stay that way.
 
I thought the whole point of the most recent episode is that the past has happened, but they are the variables that can change it? So the whole point is that it doesn't matter what happened in the past, because now they've changed everything by being there in the first place?
 
I think Dan is wrong, he was meant to get shot by his mother, Jack may well save him, thats why it is his destiny to go back to the island. Everything which is happening in the past now has already happend i personally think
 
Hmmm. But the "scar on my neck" thing had me convinced.

Blegh. I bet the writers dont even have the explanation. That's quite clearly why they introduced time travel, because there's no real possible answer for it anyway, so they can do whatever they like with the storyline ;)

Urm, how can spoilers exist for episodes that have not yet aired? Niether here nor in the US. I doubt that you "know everything" and also doubt that you know what is to transpire in the last two episodes.

In fact, doing some digging (aka heading over to Lostpedia) they haven't even announced the final two episode titles, and not so much as a plot synopsis for them.

But thanx 4 da insiderz secretz!!!!!!lolz
 
full plot for the last episode was out before the episode aired so its possible the plots for the new episodes are already out
 
One question I have had brought up - We have seen Dan die, we saw him get out of the Sub in 1977, but - what happened to him in the present? After Charlotte has died in his arms? We have not gone past that bit in the "Current" Timeframe, have we?

From what I understand, he went to the Darma with Sawyer and co and got posted as a scientist and somehow got a pass off island to study. He was away for a while and came back. No huge conspiracy there, unless I missed something.
 
So there is only 2 episodes left, counting the season finale which is a double bill as one episode?

They are shown today being the 6th and next week the 13th then its over again :(

Also, from looking around, the title for the double episode has been released.

Him dying was his present. It wasn't until after Charlotte died that they went to 1977 and joined Dharma.

Was that before or after it aired in the US?

I'm prepared to be corrected, but I've searched high and low and can't find any info on the last episodes... you'd think that Lostpedia would have any info too as there's some serious Lost nutjobs on there :D

It looks like none of you are searching in the right place, I knew all about the Season Finally about 4 weeks ago, Heres the link to the website, it has a spoilers section and a Normal section!!

Urm, I've just read through the whole spoilers section - and can't see any real spoilers for the finale? Sure, they have some ABC promo's, some screencaps (that look to be from the promo) - as well as some (admiteddly interesting) conjecture from actors etc.

But there's no plot synopsis, nor firm details on what's to transpire in the final episode(s).
