LOTRO free to play going ahead.

oh another thing i woudl like to know is, if i buy the AH slots from the store, im not a lifer or have a active sub, i get 3 slots i think it is. are these permanent slots, so 3 per character or 3 per server? or are they one time use, 3 auctions then i have to rebuy them from the store?

I can answer some of those, you get 5 auctions, and they're perm.. You can have a maximum of 25 auctions going, whether it's per char, or account, I believe it's per account.

So is there no legit guide for lotro? (like Prima guides?)

All i want to find out is where to level at and at what level to go to each town(place) etc to get the max ammount of xp(quest xp)

Human

It's not like WoW, it's not about levelling as fast as possible, you are supposed to take in the story, actually read the quests and feel a part of Middle-Earth. :p

Managed to do Frogmorton, Budgeford, Needlehole and Overhill last night, just have Brockenborings, Scary and Stock to do until i head into Buckland/Bree-Land to start questing there. This is like the 4th character i've restarted with, but i'm sticking with it as i like the challenge Hunter provides when you pull multiple mobs, damn glass cannons.

In Bree-Land now, and starting at Buckland, absolutely love that section of Bree-Land as well as the top right by the lake where you do the bounties. Invite me in the evening to the Kinship, i'm always on now.

Because, much like me, they dont want to work at night :D

Instead they try and do it at a time when most people would be at work or school so that its ready for them when they get home.

Bah im not listed in most people at work 3pm-8pm :( horrid shifts!

Dear Mahnsikir,

In order to resolve the issues with incorrect account Premium statuses, we have changed your account status to VIP for four weeks. This will address the "Free player account" locks you may have encountered on characters you logged in with during launch week.

During this period you must log into the game with each of your characters in order for your account status to be "reset".

If you miss the four-week window or fail to log in during this time with all of your affected characters your account will be left in a "Free player" state.

The window for logging in ends December 23rd, 2010 at 23.59pm (GMT). Please make sure you log in before that date! After 4 weeks, your account will be downgraded to Premium, unless you decide to maintain your subscription as a VIP.

Kind regards,
The LOTRO-Europe Team.

My email thinks it suspicious, though I don't see how, odd email though and I've never had any problems myself. Don't know if I want VIP for a month, I'm not playing it much right now and surely it'll mean I wont be able to buy the quest zone packs for cheap which they have been doing every week so far.

On the suspicion side of things, I can guarantee you that its real.

You do have a point about the cheap quest packs though, have to hope that none pop up that you want in that timeframe. On the plus side, its full VIP status for 1 month :)

i got this as well, i have no idea what it actually means though. my points have been bumped up though so im logging into all (3!) of my characters anyway

Also means that for the next month you are VIP status, so have access to everything

righto, cheers.
im still a bit confused if im honest,
someone who never subbed is a free player so the lowest level,
then you have the people who have subbed but dont sub anymore? (this is me)
and then the top line people who have life subs or do sub each month?

we have to log in to keep the tier we should be on, is that correct?
sorry for being thick :)

Not as such , its more a case that in the first week people were put onto the incorrect tier, so in order to ensure that you are at the right tier you need to log in once during this month, so its not a case that logging in keeps you at your current tier, more a case that logging in puts you at the correct tier, be it free , premium or VIP, by correcting your status.

If it wasn't for skirmishes I'd have given up on my 39 burglar I think, god bless skirmishes!

Anyone else finding 60+ a bit too easy? Swear 60-61 was the easiest level I've had onm my hunter since before level 10.
