LOTRO free to play going ahead.

Has anybody got a link to download from?? I signed up and they said i would get a link to the preview event client but i havent.I have just recieved a bonus 5000 points that cant be transfered from the beta.If i buy the 2 expansions will it let me keep them though but lose the leftover points??

No, they're purely to get you spending in the beta to test out their store. Everything gets wiped before it goes live.
 
Well...last night was eventful to say the least.

Missed out on the moors event due to the server going down, missed out on the Bree Town epic battles against unduion, thorog etc and finally passed the world queue 50000 errors to get on after tea.

Everything you earn and do in the preview gets wiped.

I the official F2P game you can earn turbine points by doing virtues, deeds, traits, quests etc.

My money was on tomorrow and still is, they scheduled preview events upto tonight so i'd say they have got their data and are happy.

That timeframe makes sense as they will want the haunted barrow in for Halloween, I'm just a pessimist when it comes to release dates for things hence my 2 weeks. Saves with any disappointment and if it comes earlier then its an unexpected bonus :)

The queuing issues in all honesty have helped us a great deal and as Satine points out, the capcity of our Preview World is lower then that of a live world, which allows us to see issues as they occur. We do appreciate the continued bombardment of the service and may have some good news in the morning regarding length of the preview

Soooo the preview continues past Thursday, meaning a launch next thursday.
 
I'll be back online for an hour or so tonight. Engineer should be out to sort the phone line out before 6pm, going to be splitting time between Lotro, L4D2, New Vegas and football.
 
Just to let you know November has a new big update coming which is currently on the test server (US Side).

Loremaster Revamp/RK
New Yule Festival ZONE (yes whole new zone)
Currency Wallet aka all your skirmish marks, coins etc now seperated from bags.
Valut 2.0 revised vault
New book updates for new characters i.e revamp (looks cool and immersive)
Revamp of some lowbie areas.
Free players have access to Moria/Mirkwood and can level to 65
New Task's quests i.e daily quests that can be obtained from noticeboards.

And much much more!
 
How will i get to play this game free to play can i download it an start up or do i need to buy the cd's at first?

played wow and quit as i didnt have time to play constantly but would like something that i can pick up an put down without monthly subbs,
