LOTRO free to play going ahead.

Just leave it open, it needs to update. It took couple of min to connect and then update was done in about 15min.

Finaly something new to do. :)

Yeah patch servers are rammed out with the release of Iseguard. Been trying to patch since 1pm and still getting connection issues. The servers are up as people in our kin are leveling as we speak lol

Do you need to be a certain level to have all the new features with The Rise of Isengard?

Or can you install it and have a Character of level 20 for example and play the expansion right away?

Sorry if this is a silly question?

I couldn't even buy it last night with a 61 character, my highest one. No point I suppose if the quest levels are too high for you.

Hunter changes are pretty good too, I like that traits aren't tied to a specific stance anymore.

Minstrel - bloody hell, that's a lot of changes. I think I might actually level one up again just to get used to it from the ground up.

Equip a drum, it changes it to make it far less annoying. It's not as bad as my captain screaming like he's seen a ghost every 10 seconds :p

I never stepped into Enedwaith so I'm taking the opportunity to quest through there whilst the rush of neckbeards dies down. Then I'll be able to start the new content at 66-67 and enjoy the new sights. Still can't get over how good the new sudden defense is!

My install got borked by the update. First time in 4+ years with LOTRO that an update's buggered it up.

Downloading the game again, but seeing as I can't play until tomorrow I'm not rushing :D

Well just doing the update etc , all smooth so far!

Saying about all the updates etc, i've still not rolled a char over 36 .lol

would be nice if i could level with someone

Minstrels aparantly seem overpowered now which is a quote from a couple minstrel friends who are looking forward to ettenmoors action. Ive only played on my loremaster, no many changes but some nice cooldown changes and skills merging to relieve room. Im also just starting in enedwaith instead of jumping on the bandwagon xD.

I had to literally clear out my minnie's 4 skill bars and add the skills back in one by one to get a feel for it. This must be what it's like buying a levelled toon :)

Does look pretty good so far, certainly a lot better than it used to be.

I play a level 65 minstrel on Laurelin and ... I have to say I agree, at least in solo (war-speech) mode. I'm cutting through the mobs like butter. Having never played any other class, maybe they've just brought us in line with everyone else?

Paul.
