I've re-installed using Steam but not loaded it yet, & still not looked at Rohan at all.

Haven't bothered with the update yet (still enjoying playing other games), but from what some kinnies are saying, the game's buggy as hell at the moment.

Thought i would try this game again after quitting about a year ago, downloaded the client patched, logged on and found my account has been banned, wtf, so sent a ticket away got a reply saying change my password and such the reply back confirming, got an email about 6 saying they would unfreeze my account which may take a couple of hours but still saying banned when i log in

I don't think you need the other stuff if you buy the actual expansion.

I have to say after a few days beding in with it, I absolutely love Riders of Rohan. I disliked the mounted combat at first, it felt unwieldy and a little clunky but now that the Horse is levelling up and points are mounting up in the trait tree I just can't get enough of the stomping around hacking and slashing.

I also love the open tapping as well, the number of times it's got me out of a scrape and vice versa because there is now value in attacking an already attacked mob, I really didn't think it would work but it does.

Lastly the landscape for Rohan itself is nothing short of breath taking, they have actually created a Rohan that comes close to how I pictured the land of the Horse Lords in my head and add to that Chance Thomas' soundtrack for the expansion (Character screen excepted :mad:

) and it's a brilliant expansion that feels like it is actually that and not just a set of new quests in a cobbled together landscape.

Quick question.

I bought this when it came out and tried ready hard to like it but the UI is terrible IMO and too small at 1080p!!

With the addons, has the UI changed?

UI hasn't changed default but you can customize them anyway i think

If you buy the expansion at 4500 or so, you don't need to buy the other bits, well most of them anyway

Just started playing this when SWTOR was down, seems ok (to early to judge really), but just wondering if anybody would list what is good to buy for a new player and if anybody wanted to level a new toon sometime?

LOTRO Problem

Okay i just installed LOTRO
its running in ultra high and dirext x 11
my pc cant run all games in ultra so its fine
im playing on a 720p screen but when i play other games they look fine
but lotro the quality is so bad its all like blury-ish nd cant read nothing clear whys this happaning?

It's downloading textures on the fly, I'd say. When you sign up it downloads low quality textures first, to get you in-game and playing, while it keeps updating in the background. The result is that the game looks rubbish for the first few hours.

I don't know why they do it, I reckon it just puts people off. I should look like this (these are quite old too, not even on the highest settings):

See, i don't get this. I'm running the game at max settings, high res textures and my viewing distance is rather disappointing, but yours looks fine.
