Luther.

Just finished it and loved every second, even the last 15 minutes which were bloody ridiculous. Didn't actually feel like Luther though - if that makes sense. Andy Serkis was excellent. 7.5/10 for me.

The plot of this has been done many times in other shows/films so this was nothing new, was hoping for something inventive and new but alas, still really good. The fight scenes were obviously low balled which was an annoyance too, punches didn't land with any conviction etc.

Still, Luther is Luther.

We were looking forward to the Luther film, having watched all the previous series. It was something of a mixed bag, perhaps a little too sensational over that of interesting content, interesting compared to the TV show. I had hoped that the character "Alice Morgan" would have played a role, enjoyed her character in the TV show. The "James Bond" style ending, noted above, was a little OTT. Still enjoyable, but not fell a little short of our expectations after watching the TV show.

I might have to look back into this. I think i watched 2-3 seasons and thought it was pretty good but then i didnt go back to it. I noticed the movie/extended ep on Netflix the other day and it bumped it in my memory. Anyone know if they are all streamed anywhere?

All on iplayer

Really good although it doesn’t make sense given season 5.

The Netflix budget splurge at the end was a bit unnecessary but hope they make more.
