Madeleine McCann cops ask Home Office for more money to continue search for missing child

Scotland Yard doesn't think so.

British police have never regarded the McCanns as suspects.

The dogs found evidence of blood and a dead body in the cupboard and behind the sofa. There had been no dead bodies reported in the room prior to the family staying there.

The incident happened in Portugal, Scotland Yard shouldn't even be investigating.

Considering the police are now woefully underfunded

Police aren't underfunded, like all government agencies they're milking people's tax money, overspending and don't get value for money. Crime is being increased rather than reduced, inter-societal problems are being increased, not solved. Council taxes have gone UP across the country no?

I had to wait with someone in an A&E the other day. I simply cannot believe how many officers wasted 5 hours just standing around doing sweet **** all leaning on the wall pretending they're doing an amazing job by accompanying drug addicts and homeless people to hospital lol. Must be the same for every A&E in the country lol.

Every 20 mins or so the drug addict would be like "I'm thirsty please let me have some water", and the officers were like "We have to look after you" yeah right only while you're getting paid right. What about when your shift is over and the guy is back on drugs.

The only reason people are propagandised into believing police are underfunded is because of the drive to implement a police state.

Do you think about what you post or have you got some sort of random BS stick it to the man app that generates this stuff for you?

Of course I think about what I post. I like to think harder and longer than most people think, and with exponentially more foresight and analysis than most people. Fact remains, at least 80% of things I've ever thought could happen, have already ended up actually happening and the other 20% are well on the way to happening, good thing for people like you is I only post about 1-3% of what I think so it could be worse for people like you who cant bear foresight.

I got my head ripped off in here for suggesting crime was going up. Forum members demanded I provide the statistics even though I told them it was my gut feeling. Low and behold crime statistics were released showing violent crime had skyrocketed, knife crime and acid attacks being the biggest growth.

I have no faith in the police at all. I don't feel safe going into town at night anymore, there has been a ridiculous surge in knife attacks because the police and the CPS are not interested in prospecting knife wielding thugs. They just do enough to stop a revolt.

Say anything about their pet minorities though and you can be banged up for hate speech. They seem to have endless funds to pick the low hanging fruit.

Or, the police are underfunded?
Well no, you need to read the whole statement.

"police are underfunded" is a basic statement.

"people are propagandised into believing police are underfunded" has a different meaning.

We have media campaigns making people think that lack of police numbers is the cause of increasing crimes. When this is simply not the case and the campaigns ITSELF cause more crimes.

Think about it this way. If you had a silent/unadvertised block on police response, say for 24 hours, police are NOT allowed to respond to an emergency, but the public has no idea of this. Will crime increase?

No it wont. Crimes will happen, same amount as the previous 24 hour period.

Now, lets ADVERTISE the fact that police cant act on every call, their numbers are low, etc etc, what effect does this have on opportunistic crimes? Yes they increase.

@asim18 that's similar to the school shooting phenomenon in America. When a school shooting occurs the media go into a frenzy and it seems to encourage further shootings in the aftermath.

Knowing that people are throwing acid around makes other criminals consider using acid as a weapon. Knowing that there is a spate of knife crime means other people consider carrying and using a knife themselves in a confrontation. Better to stab than be stabbed.

Absolutely correct. It's basic psychology. Same thing happens with anything, for example when Robin Williams died there was a huge spike in suicides.

It may be wrong to say that media is the root cause of humanity's self destruction, but it's certainly accelerating the world towards it.

I was walking through Mile End a couple months ago and they had BILLBOARDS advertising acid for use as a weapon, almost glamorising the use like it's a new fad. I cannot believe they've got massive media campaigns trying to normalise and establish acid as a weapon and constant publicising of the fact that it's a better weapon than guns and knives put together.

Was that the infamous "Two for One, scars better than ever" campaign?
