why dont you test your system (for life) with the 500w PSU in the meantime? as in booting, your components CPU GPU, will only draw minimum power, not even close to 500w ?

Hello,

I just wanted to update you guys on the situation!

After waiting for one week for stock to arrive the retailer agreed to replace the psu with another equally priced model.
I checked their website and noticed they had the Seasonic Prime 850W Platinum in stock and went for it.
It just arrived and everything is working perfectly.

The BIOS flashed correctly just before the power cut. I had to do nothing.
