Malaysia Grand Prix 2012, Kuala Lumpur - Race 2/20

It's looking like the real Schumacher is back, fiddling with brake balance between corners was always his party trick. It's a pity the Merc isn't quite there yet, but I won't be surprised to see him podium or even win.

Really hoping this is tomorrow :) The win I mean ;)

Kimi on the podium would be insanely good too! :D

It may help if they can stick with a single chassis supplier for more than a year, not chop and change staff/management/locations almost at will and build the car before the first free practice session of the year.

Well, Kolles left the team in a mess and I don't know what Thesan intend to do with it.

it seems he only has to beat his team mate at the moment, the mclaren seems on the next level compared to the rest.

Well half a second covers the top 8 today, and 6 tenths covered them last week. That was more like the gap between first and second in last year's field.

I predict another McLaren 1-2, with Kimi taking 3rd ahead of Vettel in 4th.

That would be great, I'd love to see a kimi return with the ability and determination of his pre ferrari days. If it does I hope his contract has some get outs. If Lewis cannot have Webbers seat I'd love it to be Kimi.

and very interesting tactics from Vettel.

is it? im sure vettel said in his interview he was better on the hards so went with them, nothing to do with race stratergy.

hamilton lost 1-2 tenths in the last corner alone with the lock up so he had more time to find.

a perfect lap and i bet hamilton and button will be 4 tenths maybe more clear of the field.

Well assuming none of the others had any time to gain anywhere and all put in perfect laps, it's still a lot closer than last year's field.

Im having my usual blonde moment about the clocks changing.

The race is starting at 9am at what will technically be 8am yes?

So I need to wake up at what will feel like half past 7, and will actually be half past 8?

Race starts at 9am (would be 8am like this morning except for the hour difference).

If you want to be up half an hour before the race, set your alarm to half 8.

If your alarm adjusts automatically to daylight savings, do nothing. If it doesn't, turn your clock an hour forwards before you go to bed.

Thanks guys, I know I do this every time, it'd be fine if there wasn't a race on. Fingers crossed the iphone behaves itself now! :)

Well this is odd.. Woke up this morning and I've suddenly acquired Sky Sports F1... As well as apparently every HD channel! Are they doing a free weekend or something?

Could be, they have done similar 'free weekends' before, usually with the Sports or Movie channels.

Although you won't actually get HD as you're not using a HD box.

That's actually quite funny.

I don't like putting money on things, so I shall wager a sportsman's bet with you. I bet you that Vettel will finish ahead of the Finnish driver ;)

Usually I would agree with you, but this weekend I don't believe that the Red Bulls have the pace. The Lotus, on the other hand, seems to be particularly well suited to these conditions.

Mind you, if it rains, I will surely bet on Vettel to come out on top.
