It's the battery not the motors. I can see it, fuel cells that can be refilled just like petrol. Much more torque and higher rpm.

Problem with electric motors is going to be the lack of good sounds from the cars! 
No rumbling V8s and screaming V12s. No backfiring when lifting off etc. Motorsport won't be the same when petrol runs out.

As for P1, if it rains, I wouldn't expect to see anyone on track at all to be honest.
Yeahhhh i watched p2 last weekend on the net i think.
Anyway anyone hoping piquet makes the race by pressing the kers button, spinning in the rain and taking someone out?

I would have expected people to go out in the rain as soon as possible to try and get used to it. Could be a massive advantage come Sunday having a better knowledge of how the cars behave in the wet.
I'm going to put a tenner on the fact that whatever the order they cross the line on Sunday, won't be the same order they are classified in by next Friday.

Having recently had the joy of a 60 mile each way trip as passenger in a Prius all the F1 brainpower can only improve the technology. This will form part of the long term plan to reduce our fossil fuel dependance.

Info we have is a dry start but rain not long after. As with anything when it comes to weather, it is very hit and miss this early on.

With rain due, I thought the odds for both would be a little closer.
Regarding title odds, Button is just edging it @ 5/2. Kimi, Massa and Rubens all @ 6/1.
Before the start of the season I had £50 on Kimi @ 5/1. Its not started well
