Malaysian GP 2009 - Race 2/17

I would like to say I think we have quite a decent range of fans here. It may always feel like there are a million other fans because as soon as you mention anything you get lynched. But if you read the threads there is quite a balance to the sides.

As long as we retain our group hate of Max Mosley I am happy to continue and enjoy our race weekend threads. Infact, I will miss it next weekend.. and off the track MotoGP just isnt as exciting.. everyone gets on and there isnt any lying.. :P

Someone get Biaggi back on a bike and racing against Valentino..

its the hate the bg dogfavour the underdog thingy, everyone wanted mclaren to win last year cos kimmi one before, its human nature

I didn't want McLaren tow in last year >_> I wanted Massa/Ferrari to win it, and the year before that, and before that, and the year before (though that was Schumi then) and so on.

... I'm loving the Button renaissance ... the guy can drive, it's just been masked by some truly award-winningly rubbish cars. Now he has one that can do the job, he's showing his true colours. Now Hamilton is in a car that isn't too clever, he's showing his true colours ...
I think that the difference between Button (Monaco resident) and Hamilton (Swiss resident) will only be apparent at the end of the season. To date, Button has started on pole in two races and finished 1st, Hamilton has started 18th and finished 3rd on the track in one race and started 12th and finished 7th in the other.

Somehow, I can't see the FIA overruling Charlie Whiting over the diffusers used on the Brawn, Toyota and Williams cars. However, I suspect that Ferrari, McLaren and most of the rest will have copied them before too long and we will then see how Button and Hamilton, both in Mercedes powered cars compete.

Exactly what im waiting for...then we will see who really is the best driver between Hamilton and Button. Button is kinda lucky that he has a very fast and reliable car...well it is using a mercedes engine of course:p. Until the other cars can get the same sort of performance out of their cars then im holding judgement as to who is the better driver but ill say my money is on Hamilton and dont feed me the BS that Button has had to drive in a rubbish car since he started out in F1.

But either way as long as Hamilton or Button win the title ill be happy....no longer a fan of Ferrari since Schumi retired. I reckon he should come back and show these new gen of F1 racing who the real daddy is of F1:p:D

Why is everyone so anti mclaren nowadays since Brawn have come about

maybe a lot if people didnt like mclaren anyway? i was never a fan of them or williams.

i liked jordan for a time but only because they had the epic paint jobs of the car like a bee , aligator etc

i was never a fan of jackie stewarts team either.

finally a british team ran by a very inteligent average bloke who wouldnt look out of place in an average boozer.

they really cant sy its illeagal when 6 stewards now have said its legal.
each steward knows the rules and how they can be brought out in real life, all this is moaning from teams that were to technically blind to see it, brawn, toyota and williams have all spotted it, if renault had seen it ud think theyd be complaining.
Protesting and apealing has become unfortuantly a part of f1, hopefully fia will tell these team protesting to shut up and get on with it, if 6 stewards found no fault with the cars (except the rear wing s of the toyotas in qualify 1) then the should except the call.and stop acting like todlers

The hate for McLaren mainly started when they started cheating.

then you must hate ferrari just as much, cheating is gonna happen in a high stakes competion like this. the real skill is the ablity to hid it or get away with it.
like schu's bargeoards where he litteraly used to bump people of the race course:cool:

Question (just to play DA for a moment) - how many folks who used to hate on Schumacher for doing his major work with race strategy are hating on Button for his Malaysia performance? ;)

I hated Schumacher for his arrogance and cheating, and I got so bored of Ferrari/Schumacher winning all the time, it made F1 very dull indeed, so glad its more open now, makes F1 enjoyable.
