Malaysian GP 2009 - Race 2/17

oh for the love of pete, f1 is more about the fing childish arguemnets and toy throwing than it is about the bloody racing....

Why th hell would renault want ot copy a slower bloody car :confused:

Just proving that everyone is at it, we just need to accept it, thats all.

Every team would love to get a hold of other teams research/specs..

Not quite sure why it was posted, but it's a bit old ;)

As I've said on here time and time again....

By all means, cheat. Find ways around the rulebook. Steal technical data. Hell, break into a rival team garage and photograph their car in minute detail. And yes, lie to the race stewards.

Just don't get caught doing it!!!!!

:)

Historically Button hasn't done too well when mixed up in the pack, I remember seeing this quite a bit in 2006 where he was competitive in qualifying but fell short on race day battling it out with others. We saw a bit of overtaking from him today, but it will be interesting to see him in a more conventional race. I think this will be the key test for Button later in the season.

Christ almighty chill out! Every single time you say this I agree with you! (this is the 3rd time now) Ferrari fans need to read forum responses properly.;) I am pointing out that it happens, I'm not berating any one team for doing so, so not sure what your point is?:p

so not sure what your point is?:p

The point is that some McLaren fans seem to use the "everyone's doing it" angle as an excuse for their team's indiscretions. Which is wrong, as every other team on the grid has the decency to not get caught :)

And I'm well aware that there are people on here who agree with my viewpoint on this. It just seems like the numbers are stacked the other way rather more often. Or at least, it did right up until the moment the BrawnGP cars broke cover!

Not sure who is doing that, havent seen a post on here where anyone is excusing McLaren for doing it? Everyone is saying its wrong from what I can see..

Actually, you're about right - on here, there's pretty much only FrankJH who was defending LH and McLaren this time around. But you should see some of the other F1 related forums around t'internet - one had someone challenging the authenticity of the radio transmissions between Hamilton and the McLaren pitwall....

hill won by less than a second?

3.36 actually ;)

Well, I'm truly shocked that people on here are calling F1 drivers poofs, etc. If you think you could race in those conditions then good luck to you. Calling the race off was bang on the money, what was not right however, was moving it back 3 hours. We should've just let them swim around the track for a lap, whoever comes back first gets 10 points. :D

I hated Schumacher for his arrogance and cheating, and I got so bored of Ferrari/Schumacher winning all the time, it made F1 very dull indeed, so glad its more open now, makes F1 enjoyable.

On the contrary I liked Schumacher for what he did, he was arrogant and easily won races at the same time :D

Anyone else think what Alonso did to prevent a retirement, was badass?

I agree. Calling off the race was the correct thing to do. What wasnt correct was:

a) the decision to move the start back to 5pm
b) not realising untill after the 2 hours had passed that the race wasnt going to get going again
c) not explaining the result to the teams untill just before the podium (for those 3 drivers) and after the podium and press interviews and everything, to everybody else.

All 3 of these mess ups are FIA/FOM/Stewards mess ups.

..like schu's bargeoards where he litteraly used to bump people of the race course:cool:

At least that was overt and plain to see (and made F1 good to watch) - not like the full fat porkies the Woking boys are telling behind closed doors to gain an extra point.
How desperate?? Geez.

Got todays GP on the Sky box to watch but probably won't bother. Saw 2 mins on the news which will do.
