Malaysian GP 2009 - Race 2/17

Ferrari took the chance with rain tyres, by doing that they knew it would either be just at the right time and most likely get them to first place or not work at all and cost them the race, I quite like that kind of decisions, especially for a team that knows it can't keep up with others and have to take a gamble.

If it was MS' call, i think it is shocking a 'consultant' has that much clout.

i doubt it was schumachers call he generally stayed on dry tyres until the last minute and i cant remember him getting tyre choices wrong when he raced so i doubt he would rush someone on to wets

He isnt as unpopular as people / media want to make out from mag interviews I have read from various sources

making stuff out of nothing more than anything else

I think he was really unpopular and realized it so started making inroads to try fix that. I think joining the GPDA was the first step in trying to win over some allies.

Nope last year it was Toyota, McLaren and then Ferrari.

Toyota: $445.6m
McLaren: $433.3m
Ferrari: $414.9m
Honda: $398.1m
Renault: $393.8m
BMW Sauber: $366.8m
Red Bull Racing: $164.7m
Williams: $160.6m
Toro Rosso: $128.2m
Force India: $121.85m
Super Aguri: $45.6m

Do you have a link for that mate. Not doubting I would like it for future reference elsewhere :)

I guess Lewis has a reputation of driving agrresively and arrogant and pushing people out of the way onto the grass and other drivers don't like it that someone else is faster
I think that your last statement is 100% right - I can entirely see why Alonso wouldn't be a great fan of Hamilton's - when they were both in the came team's car and neither had #1 status, Hamilton in his first year in F1 whupped two time World Champion Alonso's behind :D

The media will always stir the merde and can safely be ignored on questions of popularity - Bernie Ecclestone will do the same, for much the same reasons.

In addition to all of this, one can't escape the fact that Hamilton is not a White European or South American and some Neanderthals will always feel that he really ought to know his place and stay there.

He whooped Alonso's behind? Well considering they finished on the exact same amount of points, and Alonso didn't have anyone in his team talking to him for the last 6 rounds (to such an extreme he used to go to the Renault Motorhome), i think Alonso done a great job.

To the blinkered ones who worship at the alter of yellow helmet, that's the same as "whooping ones behind"...
The usual.
