Malaysian Grand Prix 2013, Kuala Lumpur - Race 2/19

Omg is this lying/cheating debate still going on?
We've gone from F1 to salesmen in a company?

No, we've gone backwards to a debate about it all being completely fair normal racing and Vettel did nothing wrong at all, it was actually Webber's fault for being stupid.

If you want to frame it like that, it still sucks.

Going with it, it'd be like the first salesman getting told he'd got the bonus before taking the week off and then returning to find he'd been mugged.

Your analogy still sucks. Your position is still unjustifiable.

Well we might as well not bother with F1 threads ever again then if 'first hand telemetry directly from the cars' is to be considered the standard level of proof.

well surely thats the whole point? What is acceptable to you then, part of the facts?

To be fair, I don't really think that is what anyone is saying really.

The whole point is discussing things. We will never ever ever be in possession of 100% of the facts by virtue of being fans posting on a message board and not Christian Horner.

If you're going to stipulate any discussion without telemetry data from the cars is a waste of time, then shut down this section of the forum because it's a waste of time, we'll never be in possession of that sort of factual proof.

I have :p

The first salesman obviously assumes his bonus is safe, that's why he books the holiday.

You brought the work place analogies into this, don't complain about others using them. That would be like signing for an F1 team where you know you will be number 2, and then complaining when you get beaten :p

I asked if you were a cockbag to your colleagues. You're still to convince me otherwise.

He didn't assume, he was told outright by the team principal that he wasn't going to be challenged by Vettel. Vettel came on a bit strong, he got on the radio to confirm and he was reassured.

No assumptions, just crystal clear instructions from the team.

What happened to the unsafe release involving Perez?

I remember Ted saying it was clear cut as you could get (as it involved braking to avoid hitting the released car), but nothing even appeared from the FIA to say it would be investigated.

Oh, and the caterham incident.. Why was this decided after the race? It seemed clear cut. What a joke of a panel of stewards.

I'm not in direct competition with my colleagues, let alone for the highest acheivement in my field.

Hopefully when the roles are reversed Nico gets the benefit of the team order.
Ted Kravitz said in his post-race blog that Ross Brawn had told him that if the positions were reversed Lewis would have been told to hold station behind Nico. Ted said that he believed Ross. Whether Lewis would have done what Ross asked, if the positions were reversed, is another matter, I think. :)

The Perez one? Missed that, who was it with.

The Toro Rosso one was presumably because they had to investigate fault. The fact they fined the team rather than affecting the driver shows it was a team mistake, so would have been harsh to penalize the driver.

not a bad thing, my mate hardly uses it anyway and dont mind, go ahead, report it. Would be only what is expected :)

Massa on Perez. There were no replays, just a single message from Ted when it happened.
