Malaysian Grand Prix 2013, Kuala Lumpur - Race 2/19

How many times do I have to explain that the fair fight starts at the point they start fighting. Vettel gaining on Webber while Webber thinks his lead is safe is not a fight. The fight starts at the point when the penny drops in Marks head and he realizes Seb isn't going to settle for second. From there on, its a fight, and Webber lost.

Shhhh

Nevermind that also in backing off Webber would lose tyre temps, pressure, brakes temps probably as well meaning when a flat out Seb at racing pace sneaked up the inside it was never a fair fight.

See above.

Ahhhhhh OK.

I'm going to gaffer your hands and feet and then give you a kicking but the fight only starts when you see my foot heading towards your crotch.

Sounds completely reasonable to me!

Trust me, if anyone knows what Vettel is like, it's Mark. he would have known what to expect.

I still dont understand how this forum went from so anti-team orders to so pro-team orders in one race! :)

Really? So what did RBR do that tied Webber up?

If anything they did nothing more than say "I promise I won't punch you" before then swinging for you.

We still don't like team orders, it's just we dislike dishonest unsporting behaviour even more.

That's why despite there being two team orders incidents today, only one of them has resulted in such extended discussion.

OK, so Mark somehow doesn't twig what's going on until Seb is alongside. Hiscoke if he was easily able to keep Seb behind before did he then pull out a 4 second lead with ease?

I suspect that Mark was furious, and the team were on the radio telling him not to fight back and end his/both races. I don't know, I'm not Mark Webber.

It could have been that Seb was determined to set a gap to stop Mark coming back at him. I don't know I'm not Seb.

I think that is more down to the Lewis love in and the Vettel is the anti-Christ attitude on here.

Lets face it, most people liked Red Bull until we went from the "party" team to the dominant force. Reminds me of the Ferrari hate during 2000-2005.

It will never change, regardless of who is at the front, its the nature of the sport.

Who knows, last season it depended on the direction of the wind whether I was labelled a hamilton hater or a lewis fanboy.

If anything I would say the forum is more anti Lewis than pro Lewis these days.

The binary argument structure here is tedious.

I dont have any strong feelings either way for Vettel, but I would prefer someone else to win. But not jumping at every possible opportunity to abuse a driver gets you labeled a fanboy.

Infamous American quote

Guy see's a Ferrari driving down the street and says " one day i will have one of those"

Guy in the UK see's a Ferrari driving down the street and says" flash Bast***"

Makes sense to me anyway!

Weirdly, on the qualifying show they were talking to Force India about strategy and FI outright stated that after the final round of stops, they have a policy that the drivers hold position. Not just against each other, but they won't actively go out and attack for position.. It's about bringing the car home.

Ultimately Seb probably regrets the bad publicity, team turmoil that goes with the incident today but he's sitting on +25 points today, and no amount of apologising or hugging will change that.

There are no records for gentlemen, and Webber feels like he got shafted today, but history books will always have Seb down as the winner which must be difficult to swallow.

What is nice though, is that by and large most people aren't too sensitive. You know full well we can have these sort of discussions and we'd all get on fairly well if we met up for a pint.

If we had these sort of discussions at work half the office would be on non speaking terms after the first race I think :p

Its a weird British thing. We resent success. We like the underdog until they start winning then we hate them.

Yep. Unfortunately we all live to far apart. A chunk of the forum were at mine for this race and no blood was spilled.

Its difficult to sit in the middle ground on forums.
