Malaysian Grand Prix 2013, Kuala Lumpur - Race 2/19

His boss has no authority over him, the employee?

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Chase your analogy all you want, it sucks.

Vettel overtaking Webber when he was told not to is not the same as a Rapist attacking a woman because he wants to, no matter how much you spin it.

The other teams and drivers know now that Horner has no control and they will take advantage of it.

As john Watson said "one race ban" is the only way to bring him back into line.

Yes of course. I've been trying, and failing for a day to explain my stance. I totally understand why RBR did what they did. For the team the best result was the fixed 1-2, no extra stress, no drain on tyres. I 100% agree with their reasoning for what they did (note, I don't like it, but I agree with why they did it). I also totally agree with all the people saying Vettel is an arse and a spoilt brat who thinks he is bigger than the team and who took a massive risk and could have cost the team a lot of points.

The difference seems to be, that I also fully understand why Vettel did what he did. He is a racer, he saw a chance for a win, and he went for it. Should he have obeyed the team orders, yeah, thats what they expect him to do. Do I see the reasons why he didn't? Yes, 100%, he's there to win, whatever the cost.

He is a ****, but a 3 times WDC **** who won the race yesterday. To him, which do you think is more important, being nice, or winning? Just look at last year, it was far to close at the end for him to think leaving 7 points on the table would be ok.

I missed what I assume is masses of discussions yesterday.

My 2p as follows;
Seb is a deceitful ****, and post race a disgraceful liar. It was unsporting and he's showing the same stain on his character as Schumi. Seb ignored an order from team managament and nearly cost them 43 points. He may cost them more yet due to running the engines very hard in one of of the most stressful races on the calendar.

Whoever he is, he's not bigger than the team and needs knocking down a few pegs. At the end of the day he's an employee. In most jobs if an employee brazenly and publicly ignored a direct order from management they'd get fired.

As for the team orders crowd - where do you draw the line? When they were banned the teams still issued orders ... they just had to make it less obvious. Webber was driving to a target laptime most of yesterday to preserve the tyres and fuel. Surely that should also be illegal?

You would think they need to do something to show him he is not bigger than the team, but I doubt they will as he is their precious princess :D

Do you think if Alonso done this to Massa would Skeeter be defending him? Yet he claims people are just bashing cause it's Seb lol

But who could impose that ban? Only RBR and why on earth would they do that and risk valuable WC points?

It's clear there is no point continuing as some people just struggle with logical thought. They are letting emotional thought cloud it.

Good angle.

"Its all about the points, Vettel should have listened to the team because the 43 points is the primary goal"

"So why arent you banning him"

"Because Vettel is the teams best chance at getting WCC points".

Cutting of your nose to spite your face, springs to mind.

Exactly, which is the reason why nothing will happen.

To bring him back into line. If he does it again but this time takes them both out(as in turkey) that would be a bigger lose for rd.
And all the pr rb is getting over this will last the season not good for horner

Horner could ban him for one race easy. So lets see who is the boss of rb ;)

edit=Just think if horner does not do anything but later on in the season they need Webber to give way to
vimto do you think he would?

Are RBR going to get someone in who will be as good for one race?

Considering he kept on about the 43 points, implementing a punishment that potentially robs the team of 25 points would be an odd decision.

No way will he be banned. Surprised it came from Watson - usually its Lauder coming out with the comedy attention seeking lines.

Why are you asking lots of silly things everyone already knows?
you've been doing it since the end of the race.
Oh and where is the link to that post you stated that horner said "Webber did not have his engine turned down"

Lets get that out the way first hmmmm
