I couldn't agree more.
Saying that, I thought G. Neville was awful, thats 2 terrible performances in a row, very unlike him.

"It is impossible really because there is only a week left which is not a lot of time to start negotiating fees and things but we could just run out of time."

Shame he didn't notice a year or two ago when people were saying quality replacements were absolutely necessary.

Beckham leaving triggered the whole thing off. Our midfield has not been the same since he went to Madrid. It was his choice to leave but Ferguson made it too personal. He then went on to buy some of the weakest and poorest midfielders I've seen play. Either some of our scouts should be shown the door because they haven't discovered any player in yonks or Ferguson needs to actually watch the player first before buying them.

Scholes quickly became a nothing player after Beckham left, he knew it and the fans knew it. But Ferguson didn't see it or refused to see it. And when he retired from International football he really should have retired from football altogether. He's been a great player for us over the years but his heart isn't in it anymore and tbh I don't see him playing for us next season.

Agree with the demise angle but I think Beckham was taking the club for a ride and if you look at some of his performances in his last year he was looking away from OT. Was always of the opinion that Beckham was over rated. No denying what he brought to the side tough. RvN is certainly missing the service. With Ronaldo he never knows when the ball is gonna be delivered.

fletcher is like the long list of players that fergie has liked and persevered with, despite them clearly not being good enough for man u, or unlikely to be god enough

i believe luke chadwick even played european football for us, where is he now? bellion, miller, djemba,

it made no sense then and it doesnt now. i dont even think that rossi will make it big tbh

De Jong has joined Hamburg for £700k so that rules him out of the equation. Vogel seems to be the likely target, he was impressive at times at PSV alongside van Bommel.

Rossi has been praised by a lot of Utd senior players, Solskjaer rates him very highly because he's watched him play quite a few games for the reserves, he said his control and passing are the best he's seen at his age. He could be Scholes long term replacement but I expect Ferguson to loan him out and then be sold quietly for little money and we'll never see him again. I wouldn't even consider Robbie Savage, he could have been one of 'Fergusons Fledglings', he was in the youth team that won the Youth F.A cup in the early nineties (possibly 1992) with Scholes, Beckham, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Nicky Butt. He didn't make the grade then, and he's past what you would call his 'best' now.

There is no way Rossi will be sold "quietly", do you even watch football?

no, what's football and who is Rossi? ...... :p lol.... have you seen many young players break into our team and play regular first team football in the last few yrs? ...didn't think so.... gone are those days

he's a brilliant player and I hope he gets broken into the first team this season. But there are countless young players that had his potential over the years and they were all sold quietly to lower division teams. And by 'quiet' I mean very little or no press coverage at all of the transfer. If I was Ferguson, he would be playing ahead of Saha or even in central midfield as a replacement to Scholes. He has been making a name for himself for the last 2 yrs and Ferguson should be giving him his chance now when we have these injuries.
