Manager Merry Go Round 2014

I saw an interview with Ryan Giggs the other day where he said he might have to go to an ambitious Championship club if he doesn't stay at Utd....Am I dreaming?:p

(I'm not being serious btw, we almost certainly already have someone lined up).

It is sad to be in this situation again, especially so soon, but in a way, it is more exciting than the season!

Tempted to have a rare flutter on JM not being at Chelsea this time next season. I don't expect him at United in a million years but he just looks miserable all the time - hell, he looked happier last time he was at Chelsea!

Heh - last time he was at Chelsea he was winning trophies left right and centre, and beating all comers in the league (for the first two seasons anyway). This time around he's dropping points against just about every lower-league club that puts up a defensive wall. Easy to see why he seemed happier before!

If you see him after he's beaten a big club, like Liverpool or Man City away, then he's a very happy chappy indeed - bubbly and full of energy. He likes to win, and he absolutely can't stand to lose. It might make him seem like a sourpuss in a lot of interviews, but I think it's one of the qualities that makes him a great manager. Frankly, I think David Moyes could have done with a bit of that... He always seemed a little too willing to accept bad results. With Mourinho you can tell that any bad result really gets under his skin.

Feel a bit sorry for Sherwood really.

Very curious to know who they're thinking about bringing in though. Not sure I want Pochettino or de Boer. But then van Gaal is a no go supposedly.

I'm not even sure I want to see Benitez in.

Frankly I'm a bit fed up of the merry go round at Spurs. It's frustrating.

very disappointing season as a spurs fan. Shame to see Sherwood go too, be interesting to see what a top manager if we get one can do with the team.

Highest win percentage of a spurs manager in the premier league? Daniel Levy needs to be careful, Spurs are quickly going to become a joke!

The statistic isn't really conclusive in comparison given the time and games he had. A manager could come in for 1 game, win and have a 100% record.. doesn't mean he's going to have that for the entire season.

Another manager though #sigh#

Meh, he was only ever a stop gap - his 18 month contract was the one he already had as technical director (or whatever his role was).

It'll be interesting to see who comes in, I just hope they are given time to stabilise the club a bit.

Also, can they bring their own medical team? we could do without chronic injuries next year

I saw that Huddy, thought it was good!

Latest on LVG:

Holland coach Louis van Gaal says his future remains up in the air, despite widespread reports linking him with the Manchester United manager's job.

Van Gaal, who is in camp with Holland as they prepare for their upcoming World Cup campaign, said a few days ago that United are the biggest club in the world and that he would love to be chosen as their new boss.

But he is now refusing to discuss whether he will become the next man to take charge at Old Trafford and has hinted that he has other options.

Asked about the United job by Dutch media on Tuesday, Van Gaal said: "No, I would not say anything about it.

"I'm here as Dutch national team coach, not the future Manchester United coach.

"You must wait until the process is complete. If you want to know more, then you must put questions to Manchester United, or perhaps to another club.

"I cannot say anything further about it.

"I said a few words last week about Manchester United because there were uninvited English journalists here and I thought it would be a little mean spirited if I did not answer a few of their questions.

"I mumbled a few words to them and, from that, they write 60 full pages. But you can't do anything about it."

Asked if he would be taking advantage of a day off for the Dutch squad on Wednesday to fly over to England and sign a contract with United, the 62-year-old said: "Ask Manchester, I don't know.

"Now there will be press sitting outside my house tomorrow to see what I'm doing."

The press all think his announcement as future manager is imminent, perhaps he's just winding them up... or the club are stalling. Pretty strange...
