Manchester Bombing *** Please remain respectful and refrain from antagonising posts ***

Whenever there is an attack by Islamist's the news is always talking of a 'backlash' against Muslims that I have yet to see happen. There may be isolated incidents which occur however the way it is framed is that a huge number of people are doing terrible things to Muslims - Frankly, I think its rubbish. Massive right wing reaction? What was that? The door being vandalized on a mosque in Manchester?

See this :- http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukn...attacks-on-Muslims-after-Woolwich-murder.html

'Waves of attacks' after Lee Rigby Murder. ORLY?
Are you trying to say there's a lack of evidence and that lack of evidence proves a lack of attacks? Because that's the logical fallacy you seem to be employing.

unfortunately, like other major cities, Manchester has it's fair share of people like this:

Unfortunately it's always going to happen where money can be made, especially so easily.

There's always people who will do anything to obtain it whether legal or illegal, moral or immoral. It's one of the downsides to making currency one of the most important things in a society and behaviour like that has been witnessed for thousands of years wherecer there is a currency of worth.

Those people trying to take the flowers and toys from those left for the victims, terrible. All because 'I like flowers' apparently. Can't link because of the swearing. Fortunately someone sends them on their way.

Don't worry garnett. There are people here who ignore and deny absolutely anything that isn't reported on mainstream media. "If it aint on Daily Mail, then it didn't happen" :)

The mountains of flowers have always baffled me somewhat. People buy them and they just get left there to rot. I guess people don't know any other way to express their remorse. Florists must be laughing all the way to the bank when things like this happen.

I can't believe how many people are trying to get tickets for Ariana Grande's charity gig for no reason other than flipping. Despicable people :(

Yeah but .. Just because there is no evidence he was reported it doesn't mean he wasn't ... Ammirite?

Speaking on BBC Radio Manchester, Ian Hopkins, the chief constable of Greater Manchester police, said that while Abedi was known to police for “relatively minor matters” – including theft, receiving stolen goods and minor assault in 2012 – concerns about his radicalisation had not been reported to local authorities.

“There’s been a lot of reporting and people commenting that he was reported to us on a number of occasions,” said Hopkins, answering questions from listeners on Tuesday morning.

“You will have heard us talk about the Prevent programme, which is about safeguarding and trying to deradicalise and deal with those who are at risk of being radicalised,” he said. “Abedi was not known to the Prevent programme. He was not on any sort of Prevent agenda.”

Smells a bit like fishy McCoverup to me. There's no way someone that prominent in his hate for years on end didn't get reported/known to the police

Aren't you the one who started a thread in SC whinging about police ineptitude, and who posts in there every three months or so with the latest **** up? Don't answer, I know it was you, it's a rhetorical question. Is it possible the police would be keen to hide previous knowledge of him if they wanted to avoid looking bad?

The fact that someone at work offered my Mrs tickets for the One Love concert at the weekend for £80 EACH today has really got my blood boiling.

It's disgusting that people are actually trying to make a profit out of a charity event to support victims of a terrorist bombing.

There really are some vile creatures in this world.

I saw something yesterday about them being resold for loads on eBay (despite it being in completely bad taste, I pretty much expected that to happen) but they were trying to take the ads down.

If a ticket was resold for more than face value and the difference given to the same cause, then perhaps it wouldn't be so bad. But chances of that happening are slim to none.
