Manchester Bombing *** Please remain respectful and refrain from antagonising posts ***

The fact that someone at work offered my Mrs tickets for the One Love concert at the weekend for £80 EACH today has really got my blood boiling.

It's disgusting that people are actually trying to make a profit out of a charity event to support victims of a terrorist bombing.

There really are some vile creatures in this world.

Find out who it is, see if they were the ones who bought them and vilify them, they should be shamed people like that. Pathetic behaviour.

She should have said, sure, I'll pay £80, to charity.

When have ever said i hate socialism? I like a mix of the two. Is there a problem with that?

ok, well, yea i don't hate socialism. I like some socialist ideas, but in term of economics, no i don't believe in pure socialism.

Out of interest, what would be the highest tax rate in your view? I'm guessing you won't say 75% or something..

I don't know, my opinion is mostly that VAT is a dumb ******* tax when you want to improve peoples desire to spend money.

The way i see it, as soon as a government starts taking more that half your salary per year, you're really getting into an authoritarian ideology, which naturally lends itself to less productivity from the worker.

Regarding VAT, maybe the rate could come down but VAT is a good way of getting income. As a government you don't want to kill ambition and productivity of it's workers, hence the lower tax brackets, if you earn more money its then up to you if you wish to buy more products and services. Naturally, people who earn more will buy more goods and services and therefore add more money into the government coffers. If you earn less, you will buy less goods and services.

So read in the Telegraph yesterday that after a request was put into the Home Office under FOI, it turns out that the number of far right extremists on the terror watch list has increased 33% since 2015 and now accounts for a third of the people on the watch list.

So which country are we going to deport those ones to again? And are all those advocating that the people on the watch list are interned with no trial, still happy that a third of them are muslims and are patriotic white English people?

I'd rather worry about the other 2/3rds of the list. You know, the larger part of it!
If that problem can be tackled then it's very likely the remaining 1/3rd will drop in numbers by themselves and it'll mean fewer resources to sort the remainder out.

That's a bit discriminatory... especially considering a lot of them arent on the list and one of them literally shot and killed a beloved MP.

Islamists kill powerless civilians, the Western equivalent kills politicians. Which one do you think matters more to... the politicians?

Brievik bombed the Norwegian leadership and murdered their children after all.

Being an equal opportunities kind of guy I'm all for taking reasonable steps to protect everyone from idiots. Be these idiot individuals motivated by colour, religion, race, sexual orientation, political agendas, hair colour or length of finger nails and every other oddball idea that makes them want to harm others.

Since the murder of Joe Cox you'd expect police to be taking far right extremism very seriously but to be fair far right extremists aren't dying in terror attacks on an almost monthly basis and therefore being removed from the list. Do we know how big the list is? percentages don't really mean much by themselves.

3,000 we keep being told so 1,000 are far right extremists I would assume?

Blimey. Given how many Muslims there are, compared to how many right-wingers, it would appear right-wingers are far more likely to be extremist.
