Manchester Bombing *** Please remain respectful and refrain from antagonising posts ***

a lot of people on this forum feign ignorance to protect their narrative. We have seen it time and time again with these things.
I wouldnt worry about it too much, it was blindlingly obvious what was going down within a few hours based on countless reports and stories, yet here it was all roses and just simple balloons popping.

These same individuals will often cry 'but what can we do'. Well I know where I would start.

Indeed, and if they can't wake up after they kill children FFS then there's no hope for them.

My friend was there with her daughter, luckily both okay if a little shaken.

RIP to the less fortunate, their families and anyone affected by last nights atrocities. :(

Theresa May is making a statement now. She's mentioned that they know the identity of the attacker, but they can't release the information yet.

Most likely because the intelligence services & police are running a full check on him, his family, friends, last contacts etc. Releasing his name would jeopardise their investigations.

My thoughts are with the injured and the families of the deceased. What I think about the perpetrator(s) of this wold result in a sea of yellow.

Yeah I guess that's the case. If they've identified him so quickly, I wonder if he was already known to police / intelligence?

A lot of it is also down to the safety of his family.

At the end of the day if he's been radicalised and drifted away from his family, assuming they're "normal" people, they would disown him for his actions as it would bring shame to the family. To drag their name through the media would then put their safety at risk.

And there we go, the first under the carpet :(

Come on mods, seriously! What he said is completely factual as it always happens

Well yes, because some of these attacks are by 'lone wolves', others are done by mentally ill people and others done by people knowing exactly what they are doing with support of others in a terrorist network.

It's only you guys who scream "apologist/deflector/sympathiser" at anyone who points that out while we are still speculating what has happened

So Neil79, what are you personally going to do to stop this happening again, as you too were infering criticism upon people who "just change their FB profile picture" to one of support and sympathy

It may be factual.... But your condoning people because they mourn and deal with it in a different way to you. So what if they change a profile picture on facebook. What do you want them to do? Travel to a muslim country and start spraying bullets?

What would you want any government to do. You'll never get 0% attacks. And then you complain itwill be said he is a loan wolf? .... Well what if he is.... Would you rather they lie just to get your satisfaction?

Actually, they "knew" the identity of the attacker, but he wasn't on any high profile activity watchlists. This will pan out interestingly.

We're talking about protecting someone's family after he's decimated other people's. Where did this person have any regard for any other innocent life, yet we should give him that respect and protection, interesting.

I'd make it so people are allowed to have their say on the situation instead of being one sided, I'd would like to vote a party that would investigate this to a much deeper core such as mosques, I'd like to put a stop to any form of aggressive religious speech by all ( not just one in particular ). List goes on but it wouldn't involve changing a profile picture. But there is one thing I do agree with everyone else, this is awful what has happened and my heart does go out to all those affected, as I've said all night :( - Terrible

No their talking about protecting his family which MAY be completely unconnected.
