I don't go on social media apart from here, if you can call it that, but those that I know who seem interminably on their smart phones
seem to be saying vigils are becoming passée and vigilante is becoming more freely mooted as an acceptable response, which
even to a hard Right winger like myself seems a remarkable change in publicly discussed attitudes. Has the centring of the attack on youngsters
hit a deep rooted nerve, or are the quiet masses simply getting restless regardless? Riots seem to favour warm weather, they
never seem to occur when there's snow on the ground. Thinking about the generally heated feelings it is not beyond the imagination
for one more well publicised UK attack to spark some retaliatory bother in the cities. I wonder if the troops are serving a dual role?
Its a change in publicly discussed attitudes since the Brexit campaign and people now feeling its okay to voice things like "all muslims should be castrated" and worse. Brexit gave the green light for people to think its okay to racially insult people again in this country. So no surprise after Monday's atrocity that people are vocally crying for blood to be spilled and for all muslims to be killed. If I was a none white muslim living where I do, i wouldnt feel safe leaving the house atm.
