Mantle Feedback/Bugs

Anyway my original post about the fog issue was to discuss the point. I hate it when trolls like tommy boy come in posting silly pictures derailing the thread. There is no need for it. Whether that was aimed at me or not it was totally uncalled for.

Relax man i don't think it was aimed at you. I know Tommy well and hes a sound bloke. Its hard not to think like that sometimes with some of the FUD that gets posted here. Nonetheless its sorted now as Johan has confirmed its a bug and won't affect performance. Good for everyone all round, cept the naysayers. :p
 
I think it's fair to expect a few teething problems, and personally I don't think either company would dare to pull anything so blatant nowadays as they're watched like hawks ;) And rightly so!! :D
 
Anyone else getting CTD's? had a few now while playing.

How do i disable AB overlay?

Latest patch CTDs a lot if you spawn into a vehicle and/or entering/exiting a vehicle and sometimes when hit by a grenade directly (seems to try and enter you into the grenade as if its a vehicle then crashes the client lol).
 
Mantle is a complete mess for me in battlefield, lag spikes, not very smooth and just crap. going back to trusty direct X

Nothing personal but I have a hard time taking his word for it that it doesn't affect performance :S (not even hating on AMD - the mess BF4 is in doesn't convince me they actually know what they are talking about).

Fair enough, time will tell Rroffles. I've faith in Johan. It would look foolish to lie over something like that.

All new is well forgotten old. History repeats itself. Hard to escape your true nature.
Two years back AMD there launching 7000s with very same image quality trade offs.
It' good they fixed it, like in 5 months.

I'm going to ask to get this post deleted. Really want to keep mud slinging out of this thread. It ruined the other Mantle thread.
 
Was that ever fixed Matt?

Dunno if its fixed but it was actually a setting that didn't "sync" properly - it went something like if you started a map on say medium settings, changed to ultra mid map and then quit and loaded another map it would reload medium settings but say ultra and so on. I managed to get mine stuck as working the right way around and not messed with it since so dunno if its fixed now.

I found in mantle in bf4 that is forces crossfire even though it's turned off in the drivers. So none of my crossfire enabled shortcut keys don't work.
