Yeah, I think making sure everything's cool with Windows is your best option here sadly.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
What the hell is it, and yes ive googled, but im a simpleton.
Do i need it? Can i use it?
Brilliant and thanks for your helpful input, i'll be sure to make sure i take all the advice and useful information on-board.
What is Mantle? Check this thread.
You can definitely use it with your setup and you will get a big fps boost and your gameplay experience will be improved greatly. So far Mantle works in two games, Battlefield 4 and Thief. Two further games are launching with Mantle support this month, Sniper Elite V3 and Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare. There is also a Mantle benchmark called StarSwarm. 20 other Mantle games are in development and will be released over the coming months. See the thread i linked above for further info.
here we go failed log!

Funny, I always use DDU to do the whole uninstall process and never have any issues with it.
I can educate you Mr Chop. Here is what Mantle can offer.

Lambchop, Mantle would be great for 120HZ users. Just look at those minimum fps. Who doesn't like high minimum and average fps? Everyone loves those and this is what Mantle users can look forward to. Lets not forget these ridiculously consistent frame times Mantle offers which makes DX11 look and feel like a chore in comparison.

Not sure where you would get worried from![]()
That is what mantle does, disregarding the nvidia results, i think mantle does great vs dx11 on amd.
Look at the old Thief thread to see how my dual gpu scores compare, theres none to compare to in the new thread. That is what Mantle can do. Still waiting to see some SLI 1080P scores in Thief since i posted my results. Asked several people and no one has provided any yet. Mind you looking at the 780TI SLI score, i can understand why.![]()
You still didnt answer my question of how you can get higher minimums than averages.
To answer your current comment... I have youtubed nvidia benchmarks with a single 780 and its higher than those 780ti sli's.
Lets see it then. Perhaps it might encourage some more results to be posted in the thread.
Thief was updated a month or two back and fps went down as a result as more image quality options were added afaik. Btw Alatar posted a score of 99 fps on a single card using disallowed tweaks/hacks before he posted that 95fps score so i highly doubt a single 780 is going to be beating that and a 780TI setup legitimately.
what res were those benchmarks ran at ?
