Translation: Nobody is allowed to have an opinion on anything anyone else says, does or owns.
No, its just as it sounds.
They can, but only if it comes from an informed position.
For instance your opinion on most cars is based on.... well what you've read.
For instance your comments about my neon "nobody bought them because they are rubbish"
No, nobody bought them because the pre99 cars were ugly as sin, Ford for instance have made only 3 cars in the past 10 years that are quicker and better equipped than my R/t, those being the Focus RS, the focus ST and the st 220.
(0-60 in 7.7 seconds and 132 mph) to save the hassle of googling.
Its reliable, handles well, but your opinion that its rubbish is qualified on.... what?
If i pass an opinion on a car that i have no experience, i will qualify it by saying "I've read that such and such is an issue with this car"
I wont say with absolute certainty that that particular car is rubbish because i know it is unless i've driven it, or ridden in one, or have friends and and collegues who've owned them and have passed comment on it and again i will qualify it as such.
If i have done none of those things, then i wont comment.
The situation with jez here is, its none of anybodies business, he's bought the car its his, he can set fire to it in the bottom of his garden for whatever business it is of ours.
Such is the way of life.
