in honesty, lets grow up and stop the moaning. The only person who has any right to mouth off is merlin, and I don't see him in here complaining.

Never heard of change of circumstance before? could be a totally legit reason, like he didn't realise just how much fuel it would need.

He had a 330i auto before so I don't think fuel economy is a suprise :p

that was just an example !!

(I think it might actually be he needs to free up the money for a house he saw a while back that needed extra planning permission for him to be interested or some such)

Come on, we all know what he's doing.

Job?

IT Field service engineer / dealing wheeling car dealer wannabe

Do you enjoy it?

Most of the time, good hours, different environment every day, love running my car "business"

Who gives a flying ****, christ the OCUK police are on the case again!

Quick 5 pages of whispers and trawl the internet for weeks worth of old information finding out his whole background.

Its his car he can do what he likes with it.

LOL, its no biggie really is it? Merlin got the quick cash sale he was after and was able to go to the Honda dealer as a cash buyer (which can give you better bartering power AFAIK) Jez makes a few quid, every body is happy aren't they? I'm sure Jez pays plenty of tax in his regular 9-5 to pay for his share of the dole dodgers and 15 year old single mothers.

Whats the issue guys? Its on there to see if anyone wants a punt at it, im not going to keep a depreciating asset. Its free to advertise on there and its not priced amazingly keenly as if for a quick sale as i'm not that bothered about selling (hard to find them in this colour combo and condition), it might not even get any interest.

At the end of the day its a lovely car and we agreed on a nice easy deal which we were both happy with, i know merlin is very pleased with its replacement. I dont see why i should have to justify anything, its a bit of fun for a while which i am not overly looking to sell, but if someone wants to offer a reasonable amount they can and i will get something else to play around with :)

No your business is nothing to do with you.

You can only behave in a manner and buy and sell and own what the ocuk motors forum says.
You are a naughty boy, I am sanctioning the use of irony and sarcasm in all replys by other members to your posts.

Think on that you............. dirty little boy.

you'll get a better deal from a dealer if you take finance rather than pay cash as they get a kickback from the finance company as well as the price of the car.
most dealers don't really want a cash buyer.

to people who don't know the details of the deal ( read everyone except you and merlin ), it comes across that you got a good deal due to your relationship on the forums, mates rates if you will, then you've attempted to capitalise on this by trying to sell it at punter prices.
i can see why people without all the details ( again, other than you and merlin ) may perceive this to be a little disrespectful.

*disclaimer, not my opinion at all, i was just a little bored and thought i'd type to clarify*
personally i couldn't give a brass razoo either way.
:D

Translation: Nobody is allowed to have an opinion on anything anyone else says, does or owns.

Agreed. Take the advert down immediately.

Roman soldier: "Now don't do it again!"

Seriously - I think those concerned knew what the deal was and to be honest I don't think it's an issue - to sell quick you sometimes have to take a hit. It's all in the priorities.

a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
and i don't need to tell you how many people on here only have a little knowledge ;)

No, its just as it sounds.
They can, but only if it comes from an informed position.

For instance your opinion on most cars is based on.... well what you've read.
For instance your comments about my neon "nobody bought them because they are rubbish"
No, nobody bought them because the pre99 cars were ugly as sin, Ford for instance have made only 3 cars in the past 10 years that are quicker and better equipped than my R/t, those being the Focus RS, the focus ST and the st 220.
(0-60 in 7.7 seconds and 132 mph) to save the hassle of googling.
Its reliable, handles well, but your opinion that its rubbish is qualified on.... what?

If i pass an opinion on a car that i have no experience, i will qualify it by saying "I've read that such and such is an issue with this car"
I wont say with absolute certainty that that particular car is rubbish because i know it is unless i've driven it, or ridden in one, or have friends and and collegues who've owned them and have passed comment on it and again i will qualify it as such.

If i have done none of those things, then i wont comment.
The situation with jez here is, its none of anybodies business, he's bought the car its his, he can set fire to it in the bottom of his garden for whatever business it is of ours.

Such is the way of life.
