Marvel Vs Capcom 3

anyone found a place to buy the mvc3 guide by bradygames? I haven't purchased a game guide before but this one looks extremely well made.

i struggled a bit with the double jump air combo, always seems to drop them. i beat a guy that had no idea what he is doing online though. i didnt even know how to switch characters and i still dont

i will play one of your guys to take a break from trial mode.

my mate just got the game and im going around his to play tomorrow.

both of us SUCK at SF4 and both of us have tried to play MVC2 (very breif maybe 5 games) although we are both bad at fighting games we realy liked the style of MVC. Any tips for a newbie ?

do trial mode to learn the basic combos and moves first, and play and ask someone more experienced about what you are doing wrong and grind the mistakes out slowly via playing more and in training mode. you reactions will sharpen and everything will become instinctive eventually.

takes a lot of time to get decent, you have to play the game religiously to get anywhere near good

I'm working in Belfast during the week days (but have my 360 with me), so no internet.

I will be back tomorrow at about 1800 though.

hyv, if you just pick 3 average characters you'll get smashed. You need a battery, a meter burner and an assist. Or a point who doesn't need meter, a second character with decent meter damage and an assist, or 2 batteries and phoenix.

Bevy, people online will be complete idiots at this for many months. Most people are coming from SFIV (often where it was their only FG) and will have no clue what they are doing.

Im off tomoz and all weekend so I'll make a point of being on it. It really is missing bb hood but dante is doing the trick for the minute.

I love that the majority are dire at this im sitting with only a couple of losses at the minute and im racking up the wins :)

Not true with sfiv and mvc3. It takes a tiny amount of experience to be decent compared to most fighting games.

Got mine this morning with my pre-order t-shirt, forgot to post though

Why does your point character need a good assist?

Do you mean Magneto Kreeee? Still getting used to the terminology.

If so then I get what you mean, I'm not sure what to do with Wesker's assists though, 2 of them knock your opponent away from you either for a wall bounce or just a knockdown. The other shoots down with his gun but not sure how to use that, just seems lackluster, I do OTG stuff with Wesker's gun but only when controlling him, don' think I can do it with the assist version.

I have pretty much settled on Magneto/Wesker/Chun, I really like her lightning legs assist and it can set Magneto up for some nice combos, if I get them in the air for one of his air dash combos and smack them down again I can follow up with his level 1 then KFC into his level 3, does about 1mil damage.

Will have to play you soon, like I mentioned in the other thread I now have my headset port connected to an adaptor on my TE!

my confirmed team so far are akuma and dante.

still trying to figure out my 3rd as everyone else seems to be pretty averasge in comparison to akumas lvl3 super and dantes massive combo damage.
