*** Mass Effect 3 ***

Assuming i get one of the weapon packs (think i managed to finish one reaper match between all the fails i kept getting as teams....joys of xbox version i suppose) i'll end up with the SMG just to annoy me.

Anyone wondering what the first few dlc's will be?

I'd bet this is one of them :

"But as tipster Chris showed me today, one significant part of the story might have hit the cutting room floor.

Warning: The following contains some slight spoilers for Mass Effect 3:

While on the Citadel space station, you can meet with ****, a displaced mercenary who has lost her base, Omega, to Cerberus forces. Although you can earn help from many of her mercenary brethren, you can't visit or make any attempt to recapture Omega. When the game ends, her story seems unresolved.

The leaked script is hard to read, as it's a dumped text file with very little context or explanation. But some of the dialogue lines suggest that a mission to retake Omega may have been cut from the final version of Mass Effect 3.

Here are some lines in the leaked script that don't appear in the game:

The plan to reclaim Omega is taking shape.

Since we took back Omega, I've been consolidating my resources for the war. It's a little easier to coordinate from here.

How's the rebuilding going on Omega?

Why did BioWare cut this section? Will they revive it for future downloadable content? Or was it removed for other reasons?

I reached out to BioWare, who said they don't comment on speculation."

Casey Hudson has been quoted as saying that any dlc would take place during or before the end of ME3, so imho it's highly likely that taking back Omega will be one of them.

There is some logic in an Omega related DLC, only issue is some of the dialogue with **** in ME3 suggests she doesn't think theres much point retaking Omega with Reapers still around.

No chance of them releasing Take Back Omega whilst the ending stuff is going on.

Who wants to take back Omega when there is no point?

It would be a good dlc otherwise though. But the way I see it, it would have to take place after the main campaign, surely! .....why would you bother when the galaxy is burning?

Well the galaxy's burning afterwards anyway, so what's the point at all, can't get to Omega without any relays anyway

New DLC Incoming!!!

TAKE BACK OMEGA

Allow **** T'Loak to take back Omega for some reason and starve to death there instead of starving to death on Earth, or dying on the Citadel!

........$20

lol, of course, her name is censored!....competitor:D

Some of the responses on Bioware's Twitter are quite unbelievable!

Because it would tell another part of the Shepard "legend".

"one more story.." or whatever it was the old guy said at the end.

That's what it appears Bioware originally wanted to do anyway, which explains the final dialogue box at the end of the game.

Whether they have the balls to carry through with that idea now with all the anger in the fanbase remains to be seen.

The most disappointing part of this for me is the way that gaming 'journalism' is letting down gamers, and insulting them

Its not though, it's the common culprits giving the crazy reviews or slagging off upset people. Everyone knows ign are on the books of most publishers and you should never believe a word they say, eurogamers 10/10 review has raised concerns that they are now on the ad books and their integrity has been lost.

But... Angry joe and giantbomb have consistently proven they are really the only journalists worth any amount of integrity and suprise surprise they both stated what we all feel, it's a great game but with a crap ending and certainly not a 10/10 game or even better than the second one.

iamtheoneneo-

We do all know about the positive review BS that goes on, but I was referring more to the response to the criticism that the endings are getting. I really do not see a reason behind some of the articles coming out other than they were told to make them.

....Why would IGN, Destructoid, RPS all come out with articles directly insulting a proportion of gamers(thier potential readers)? ...they all vigorously defend the ending (fair dos) but I really can't understand why they would go on to insult those who are comlaining about the endings by calling the 'entitled' 'whiny brats' etc. Destructoid are really being quite rude about it as well. They are purposely alienating potential readers for no reason that would benefit them!

They wrote themselves into one hell of a hole with the stargazer scene and the endings. Due to the state of the ending there is literally nowhere to set more stories about Shepard other than during the events of ME3 which for obvious reasons won't interest a lot of people atm.

They can't even do a flashback type thing to before ME3 since they really have no timeframe to use, pre ME1 Shep was a just a bog standard military officer that survived one out of the ordinary thing (depending on your Shep's origin). Post ME1 he gets killed and spends 2 years on ice so theres nothing there.
Post ME2 only seems to have a couple months tops before he surrenders to Alliance custody.

So they really screwed the pooch with the endings ruining peoples desire to play anything set before it :p

Monies involved so they'll definatley have the balls, as theres no way in hell they'll change the ending, they know full well all they've got to do is sit tight & wait for the nerdrage to pass, then release the pre-ending DLC to a captive audience depserate for just one more outing with the Shepperd

Didn't Bioware say that ME3 would be the conclusion of Shepards' story though?

Only way they could go now, as I see it anyway, is to let you play as one of the more prominent team members like Garrus, Wrex, Liara, Miranda, etc... in a plot involving the rebuilding the ME universe now it has all gone pear shaped.

And I wouldn't be suprised to see the Rachni becoming the main enemy in some way.

Or whoever was behind the Catalyst too I suppose, as that was never explained ( Like a lot of things )

If they did that though the nerdrage would just return in full force as it's obvious that taking back Omega should have been a part of ME3 to begin with.

Just like the Prothean was, regardless of how Bioware try and dress it up.

And look how that went down.

Joker, Liara, EDI and Hackett are pretty much the only characters I can think of who are guaranteed to be alive after this ........I think....for a while anyway......possibly

PMSL I kept wondering why Ahreeeaahhh's name kept getting starred :D

I just finished the game, and yes the ending was a little disappointing, I still found it epic. I really hope there is another game, or at least some amazing DLC.

I'm actually realy sad the ME story has come to an end. I have immensly enjoyed the story (through the game and the books) over the years, and it's really sad to know that the story is over :( It's like the ME universe is non existent now...

Hows EDI going to be alive if you took the destroy all sinthetics option?.

I am not sad it is over, I am sad that it ended this way. 99% of the trilogy was excellent for me. It was never going to last forever, I am just sad that I got no closure at all.
