*** Mass Effect 3 ***

A little

I could've coped with the ending if it had been handled just a smidge differently, i mean bittersweet is fine if it makes sense.

But the fact that Casper the ghost appeared in the last 5 - 10 mins of the game & gives you a truly idiotic, contradictory explanation, as to why advanced sentient life is culled every 50,000 years, made absolutely no sense what so ever, ide love to know who dreamt that wee gem up.

yes I agree with that fully. I'm still holding out for an alternate ending, or at least a better explanation through DLC of the
true masters of cycle. Before the very end, they were only mentioned once. The fact that this hyper advanced sentient machine race are merely pawns for the greater existence really needs a more than 5 mins. IMO, they should have been introduced at the end of ME2 somehow and left as a cliff hanger.

I am annoyed at the plot holes:

1. Was always said that an exploding mass relay would have the force of a supernova. Surely all going off at once would wipe out most life anyway?
2. HTF did Joker get from earth to that mass relay in 0 time

And no matter which ending you pick, they're all the same pretty much anyway. Maybe a more pretty colour to choose I guess :p

I really hope they decide to address this, but I really really doubt it personally.

I am 100% sure they will. Have some faith;)

April 1st in 10 days......just sayin....... Pax starts on April 6th.
Indoctrination theory seems to be massively regrouping for some reason. I have been looking on BSN a lot, and more and more people are convincing themselves. I am starting to sway back that way as well......I just don't know. I am thinking about this way too much! ...but then again I did have a really **** night at work last night, so I need something to take my mind off of it

Interesting read thanks. Personally I think it would awesome if that were the case. I doubt bioware planned this, but may buy into and pretend they had planned it all along. Reading it's 'too good to be true' stuff - one of those conspiracies that anyone will find fact in and buy into.

Don't mean to sound like I'm having a go at you, or people who follow the theory, I'm just remaining sceptical :(
Not sure if this should be tagged, as it's theory, but I'd best pay on the safe side.

If that is true, what next? Are we doomed, or does ME4/ME3 DLC have Shepard fighting indoctrination and actually defeating the reapers?

I'm all for the indoctrination theory about the ending but..

My only sticking point is that why would they have still been working on tweaking / changing the ending right up until Xmas, which Casey Hudson has been quoted saying, if they knew all along what it would be?

Surely they'd have worked out how to portray the ending long before the game was due for release, rather than still be rewriting it in Nov / Dec & seemingly throwing something together in time for their EA deadline, which is how it comes across in the final game.

Instead of raising money for charity lets all save up, buy mass effect franchise and re write the ending with a new game! any devs agree? lol

So instead of having one bioware team not agreeing over the current ending, you will have 10s of thousands of fans arguing over the new ending? No thanks :D

The only DLC i could see them releasing atm would be

The assault to retake Omega from Cerberus, which they could get away with, purely & simply because grandpa Walton, sorry, Stargazer, told the kid at the end cutscene that he'd tell him another story about the Shepard, and, they could release a new, non interactive ending cutscene as a free DLC, just to address the many, many, criticisms being directed at the utter dogs dinner that is the current end of ME3

1: The signal chosen at the end; red/green/blue or whatever was what the relays sent out, not an actual destructive explosion (Unless you had really low EMS where it wipes out EVERYTHING.)

2: People consistently think Joker took the normandy away from the battle or that he took a relay. How about the huge unexplainable and unknown mass ejection from the citadel making him go balls to the wall in any direction to get away at the fastest possible FTL speed. The galaxy is huge, plenty of system outside of sol he could've reached between relays.

I had good EMS but either way the mass relays get destroyed. It has been known since ME1 I believe that the force resulting from the destruction of any mass relay would be the power of a supernova.

Ray Muzyka commits to make address the questions:
Building on their research, Exec Producer Casey Hudson and the team are hard at work on a number of game content initiatives that will help answer the questions, providing more clarity for those seeking further closure to their journey. You’ll hear more on this in April. We’re working hard to maintain the right balance between the artistic integrity of the original story while addressing the fan feedback we’ve received. This is in addition to our existing plan to continue providing new Mass Effect content and new full games, so rest assured that your journey in the Mass Effect universe can, and will, continue

did anyone else feel guilty about downloading a shepard save and then playing ME3 or felt they wanted to replay the whole lot because of certain things they found out in me3?

So the head honcho speaks, it's a fair blog to the community. I just wish Bioware/EA would communicate more clearly, instead of all the smoke and mirrors via PR...I expect space bunnies to be the answer in the form of their future DLC's :)

I have the game, i just haven't played it yet as i'm going through ME:2, but i don't think i want to even play it unless they sort out the ending, that's just really appauling.

No it won't

So it was just incredibly badly written. They are far too dismissive in this statement, though it is better than nothing.

They are just going to explain why the ending they already have is great because IGN says so, then tack on a text epilogue

btw, how much dlc will the press that apparently love the game so much be buying?
