*** Mass Effect 3 ***

Its sad how desperate some people are to believe the ending has some sort of meaning and wasn't Bioware pulling a fast one.

Oh, I know. It just shows how unbelievably bad it is that people thought that!

"An ending so bad, that people thought it was on purpose!"

-Stick that on the front cover EA!

Yet if you spent 40-60 pounds on other types of goods that was not finished properly, you would moan about it! goes both ways, its still a "product" and is not free from customer scrutiny.

Awesome video summing up the indoctrination theory. I really hope there's some truth to it :)

Indoctrination theory has been obliterated. This nonsensical gibberish spouted by a space-wizard was their artistic vision, it is just that you are too stupid to understand it.;)

An no, they will not explain anything to you. It just makes sense. Deal with it!

Seriously, the indoc theory is now the only way out. It was not intended, but it fits so well.

Agreed. It fits excellently so I won't put it past them to steal this idea and claim it as theirs all along.

It's not just a game. It's Mass Effect! ;)

I think it's the fact that it's the end to a trilogy, I don't know about anyone else but I spent 100+ hours on these games so the ending kind of makes that time wasted.

I have just watched the indoc video and it is very compelling, and I must admit it has given me hope, because the bioware writers can't be this bad. But if it is true that means there making us pay for the real ending which is very mean.

I had good EMS but either way the mass relays get destroyed. It has been known since ME1 I believe that the force resulting from the destruction of any mass relay would be the power of a supernova.

A purposeful and controlled detonation does not alway result in the same as a uncontrolled. Destabalising a mass effect field of that magnitude in this line of fiction destroys a system, yes.

But a purposeful energy wave to say "Wipe out all synthetic life" instead of a destructive force to kill all, I can dig that.

Sometimes I wonder how people are unable to think of these things.
It's gone beyond stupid now, people are picking at things which have legit reasons just because the rest of the ending was a complete failure.

It had good points, but some people are so ignorant to some of them because of the ending.

I have always thought that the argument that everything will be destroyed because of the mass relays destruction was not the strongest. We don't know that, we only have 'similar' incidents and we do not know the actual affects of whatever the ventkid does.. The problem is, that we can only speculate.

People are just looking for things to pick holes in now though, and every new supposed 'plothole' seems pretty weak or inconsequential tbh. Anyway, it isn't like there aren't enough plotholes/nonsense anyway!

Suppose the issue is that after making major fuss over the system destroying nature of destroying a relay it should have been mentioned somewhere that the crucible relay destruction was different. Something like that really shouldn't need to be guessed or assumed, we should be told in some way.
Maybe if Shep actually questioned star child instead of just accepting everything that would be a prime spot to fit in mentioning the relays won't go nova.

Would've had to have been mentioned after the fact, ie end game since we had no idea what it was or did and we all know how many answers we got there.

None :(

There was a line after star child laid out the choices where he told Shep no matter which one he goes for, the relays will be destroyed. That would be perfect place for Shep to question him on the whole supernova nature of destroying relays.
Alas the "writers" thought otherwise....
