*** Mass Effect 3 ***

So I'm pretty new to the game having only bought it yesterday.

Gameplay wise, I'm liking it. But graphically? It looks exactly like ME2.... Is there any way of improving it at all?
Being able to force a wider camera angle would be ruddy amazing

Yeah it is a summary of the statement made earlier today. It is good news, if non-comittal.

Now to see the gaming media backtracking and trying to save face.

One thinkg that I found, IDK if anyone agrees, but I though the graphics sharply improved after you left Earth, and whilst the textures are not that great, they also get better and you don't even notice the bad ones after a while.

Don't think they can fix this unless it was planned all along. It ****es me off how they pushed the multiple-choices, grandiose ending before the launch of the game, and we get the exact opposite. I'd rather they spend 6 months fixing it good than pulling ANOTHER fast one. But what are the chances... A quick DLC wont fix anything. To do it properly, you need the voice acting, LOTS of dialogues (hell, all your surviving crew's), scripts, animations, set pieces, FMVs... No way, Jose.

I can see a way how it could be done without resorting to a lot of expense.

The only voice actors you need are shep & starchild, substitute startchilds idiotic explanation for some thing a bit more plausable, give shep some new lines, make your choices, which then takes you to 3 new cut scenes which could be just that, cut scenes with no interaction, et voila, problem solved on the cheap ( as in free DLC ), & follow it up with a promise of more content via paid DLC, which would molify most fans i think

Mark Meer(Shepard) did comment that he is due in for VA work soon, and also gave a view on the situation earlier. Nothing new, but worth a read just to get his take on it.

Recently "Mass Effect 3" has been in the news because of its controversial ending. Longtime fans of the franchise are asking "Bioware" to remake the ending and provide a satisfying resolution to the series. What's your take on the subject and would you be open in returning to the role?
Bioware has said recently that they are considering all fan feedback, positive and negative. I don't actually know anything about their actual plans (and I couldn't say anything if I did), but I do know that there will be upcoming DLC. Changing or expanding the end of the game wouldn't be unprecedented. The gaming community saw it a few years ago with Fallout 3 from Bethesda and the Broken Steel DLC. I really enjoyed Fallout 3, and didn't really have a problem with its ending, but was thrilled to get the Broken Steel disc. Obviously, if Bioware wants to record more dialogue, I'd be there. I'm definitely scheduled to record more dialogue for DLC, but at this stage, I don't know what that will entail.
^ I wouldn't be too unhappy with that VoG

Ive had a quick think, & this is how ide approach sorting the ending.

Shep & Starchild have new lines, lose the idiotic explanation for the cull, & come up with something a bit more plausable, that leads Shep to his 3 choices which you keep form the current ending, create 3 new end cut scenes, in the new end cutscenes, the Mass Relays build up then discharge a colossul amount of energy, killing the reapers, how ever, instead of being destroyed the Mass Relays burn out & go dark ( or do they??? ), as part of the new end cut scenes we see Shep, in one he's bloodied but unbowed, just like he was in the end of ME1 when he comes limping over the Reaper debris with that grin on his face, cut to the Normandy in earth orbit, everybodies in the war room, cheering, celebrating etc.

in the second cut scene he's a mess, he's being helped, cut to the Normandy in earth orbit, she's chewed up & on fire, sirens sounding, crew fighting fires, you can't see your entire squad. & in the third you could reuse that "chest rise" from ME3. cut to the Normandy, she's in trouble, jokers fighting for control, going down in flames, no squad mates present, visually hint at there existence, release that as free DLC.

That then leaves Bio open to release a new, sizeable, paid for DLC when there ready, which will keep everybody happy. win win for all concerned.

Wait, some people played manshep instead of femshep?

Also, strange occurence on multiplayer. i couldn't get any new thermal clips from any of the ammo dumps or from using an ammo pack myself. I could reload OK just not pick up any new ammo. Very annoying and I had to quit out.

In a previous game: Loving my Widow Sniper Rifle. It's only got a scope mod so far, but as you can see, Awesome!

Also, why doesn't the latest build of Afterburner record sound? Older versions have!

I posted that message after I had left Earth :p I've just got the war progress bar above the minimum required, so I've been playing a while today. I agree that things seem to look better, but I could really do with widening the FOV if nothing else. Doing so in Skyrim made a huge difference

Sounds like EAs own form of indoctrination to me :p.

It won't be long before you think the ending to the series is excellent.

Very interesting post by the Bioware writer. Though it may be true what he stated, he's indirectly stabbed his colleagues in the back by posting in the public like that. Not sure if his job is safe or not by retracting the statements, but his colleagues at Bioware will not have forgotten this anytime soon...

I'm certain it's true, but as you say, not the wisest move if you aren't planning on changing jobs quite soon after.

I think it's been a mixture of frustration, disappointment and self defense that caused it.

So...

Who's enjoying MP? I'm loving playing as human vanguard. Biotic charge, followed by several Novas is serously racking up me some points :)
