*** Mass Effect 3 ***

What would be a good point to stop the SP game and then move over and play the MP game??

After Horizon theres a convo with Hackett where he'll specifically ask if your ready or not, thats the point of no return. Saying yes at that point seems to make the game record your current EMS so no changes count.

Just realised, due to where the game autosaves after the ending cinematics and such we'll have to play through the whole endgame section again just to see this stuff :p

Might as well just youtube it tbh, i mean it's just extra cut scenes to clarify the abysmal ending.

I'll just youtube it. No need to replay the nonsense that is the ending.

How can they clarify space-Hitler-Wizard-Kid's logic?

Just arrived back from hospital to see this....was hoping for more tbh, but it is better than nothing(slightly)....the problems haven't even been acknowledged which I find amazing

At least it all proves the obvious though, that Destroy is the only option for the ending, the other 2 are wrong

I quite enjoyed the ending, but very disappointed that to get the best one I have to play multiplayer or mess around with iPhone apps, not really sure how that makes any sense. I agree with others that ME2 was a better game overall. It did feel like I was going through the motions a bit too much at times in ME3 and running errands before people agree that saving the galaxy is probably a good idea. Overall it's still been a cracking trilogy and I'm quite sad to see it end as Bioware certainly know how to write good characters and get you invested in them.

I see there's a new post up on Bio's forum regards the upcoming DLC.

An official press release went out today announcing how we are re-prioritizing the Mass Effect 3 post release content schedule to provide a more fleshed out experience for our fans. For many of you the "Extended Cut" will help answer some questions and give closure to this chapter of the Mass Effect story. Oh and it's at no cost to you - the fan.

Here is a mini FAQ to help you understand what the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut is and isn't:

What can fans expect from the Extended Cut DLC?
For fans who want more closure in Mass Effect 3, the DLC will offer extended scenes that provide additional context and deeper insight to the conclusion of Commander Shepard's journey.

Are there going to be more/different endings or ending DLCs in the future?
No. BioWare strongly believes in the team's artistic vision for the end of this arc of the Mass Effect franchise. The extended cut DLC will expand on the existing endings, but no further ending DLC is planned.

What is BioWare adding to the ending with the Extended Cut DLC?
BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity and closure to Mass Effect 3.

When will the Extended Cut DLC be available?
Currently the Extended Cut DLC is planned for this summer, no specific date has been announced at this point.

Why are you releasing the Extended Cut DLC?
Though we remain committed and are proud of the artistic choices we made in the main game, we are aware that there are some fans who would like more closure to Mass Effect 3. The goal of the DLC is not to provide a new ending to the game, rather to offer fans additional context and answers to the end of Commander Shepard's story.

So there you have it. Are we proud of the game we made and the team that made it? Hell yes. Are we going to change the ending of the game? No. Do we appreciate the passion and listen to the feedback delivered to us by our fans? Very much so and we are responding.

Be good to each other and Summer is coming...

Ive bolded the important part, lets see how much effort they put into trying to polish poo.

Some more cut scenes and dialogue!? **** off! that ending was an abomination and nothing short of getting rid of that stupid child will fix it!

"The reapers are my solution"

"Yeah? who the **** are you and what have you done with my ending you ****!?"

They are going to clarify how, in the synthesis ending, a green wave of energy flies across the galaxy and rewrites the DNA of every organic lifeform, and every synthetic lifeform(i'm not making this up!)

The biggest problem is that none of the three choices are "good"(and synthesis is not only properly evil, but also completely pointless). You ultimately fail in every one of them.

Do you not find the entire premise the ending is based on completely off? nothing can be crowbarred into it, it has to be redone from scratch.

'I created the reapers to save organics from being wiped out by synthetics...'
'oh, how is that then?'
'By wiping out most of the organics!'
'hmm.. but synthetics never actually did wipe out ALL of them? you only guessed they might do, maybe, so what's the poi...'
'Just pick a ******* colour will you'

And with only cutscenes added, we will still be insulted by the scenes with Space-Wizard where Shepard just blindly believes everything he says and doesn't even offer any resistance!

I find Bioware's whole artistic integrity defense totally unbelievable. They are totally gone now.
