*** Mass Effect 3 ***

I just finished ME1 again and really enjoyed it, there were a lot of storyline aspects that I had forgotten which helped make more sense of the other games. Did particularly like the weapon customization, sell-to-vendor, the Mako, more dialogue options and free roam Citadel.

On to ME2 now :)

I started ME1 again, thinking I will just not think about how it ends and how everything you do in ME1 is contradicted, and it was working, I was greatly enjoying it......then I got to Noveria, did most of Rift Station, but forgot to autosave at all. Then i got stuck in the wall and was killed losing about 2 hours of play.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

That used to happen really often to me in ME1 and still happened occasionally in ME2 also. It was one of the few things they seemed to fix in ME3.

I am still waiting for the proper ending :)

Finally cleared ME3 last night. After 130 hours of enjoyment I found the ending to be a little underwhelming (synth route), but it wasn't bad.

After seeing all the fuss about this on various sites but obviously avoiding them until now, wow, some people can get their panties in a twist :). I thought we probably wouldn't have stopped the reapers and was waiting for a sombre ending. But we did and life goes on. I'm ok with that.

Well if you chose synthesis you stopped the reapers....for now....apparently.

You are now the most evil man in the galaxy though

Yes the endings were poor but the bit that I really hated was when you're trying to fire the rockets at the reaper protecting that transporter beam from London up to the Citadel.

making me fight what...1 harvester, 6 brutes, at least 3 banshees plus a handful of marauders and souped-up batarian-thingies. All the while trying to avoid the deathray from the reaper...on the occasion I had to run that way up the street to get me some space to take out the above...

Such an annoying fight...

Thought the final battle was too easy, even on insanity, both Soldier and Infiltrator.

Just keep doing potshots and moving to new cover then dive to the missle control.

Well I was an Infilitrator...think I had Liara and Vega with me. I did it on my third attempt, I think the main thing is keeping on top of the brutes/banshees. Dont let them gang up or corner you

One time I was really unlucky...made it to the second missile control, fired it, the cutscene started and then I died!

Me too, started from fresh....ME 1 powns 3 so much that it hurts...now on to ME2 from scratch......can't believe usually next is better then previous here it's turned to upside down.

ME1 > ME 2 > ME 3.

Nice to see i'm not the only one who's felt compelled to play ME1 again, ide forgotten just how much dialogue there was in ME1, & how you could actually steer the conversation in a given direction, as opposed to sitting there like a chump, watching a movie of shep flapping his gums till your finally allowed to make a rather restricted choice.

Expansion to the ending, free also. I'll give it a chance, but I'm pretty much convinced the current ending is unsalvageable.

Knowing EA, they've added a couple of extra colours to the explosions, added an extra cutscene or 2, & called it a wrap. ;)

New colours!?! Awesome, count me in.

I particularly love the fact the multiplayer emphasises pretty colours - my krogan soldier looks great in his neon pink and lime green camo armour.

So more cut-scenes and extra dialogue. Personally I think it deserves more than just that, the entire thing was completely awful and needs an overhaul.

I think originally when it came to making ME3, they realised they bit off more than they could chew with the ending complication...

"17 different endings? No way can we do that."

"I know, we'll just go with the artistic angle."

The sad part is they are still clinging to the whole "artistic vision" and "some" fans aspects, they really don't get just how badly written the ending is and just how many people are annoyed about it.

Should be amusing to see what they come up but i'm fairly convinced the plot holes are simply too big to just "clarify".

BioWare will expanding on the ending to Mass Effect 3 by creating additional cinematics and epilogue scenes to the existing ending sequences. The goal of these new scenes is to provide additional clarity and closure to Mass Effect 3.

hmmm

Same ol' 3 choice tosh endings then

Still haven't played.... I was about to play then I heard news of the 'new ending addition'... so have waited.

Perhaps I shouldn't... ignorance is bliss and all that.

Just realised, due to where the game autosaves after the ending cinematics and such we'll have to play through the whole endgame section again just to see this stuff :p
