****MASS EFFECT : ANDROMEDA****

I still play ME1, probably on something like my 6 or 7th playthrough, it was easily the best version till EA got involved. That music, sends a shiver down my spine all the time still to this day. I really really really hope they bring back the RPG elements in ME4, like ME1 I want to feel like I'm exploring planets, scanning them my self, changing out ammo types and weapons to suit the enemy in front of me. ME2 and 3 felt to arcadey like and on rails for me. Pleas do not disappoint this time.

ME1 is the only game I've ever replayed. I agree that ME2 and 3 felt more shoot-em up which ruined the series for me a bit. I think the issue for the upcoming game is whether they retain the RPG core of ME1 or simplify it down to just action-oriented gameplay for the wider audience. The latter would definitely be a shame for such a well-crafted universe.

In terms of old faces showing up it would be difficult. Even squad members with plot armour in ME3 (see: Liara, Garrus) can be incinerated in the final run.

Plus I would guess that this mission to Andromeda set off during the war meaning that any characters we know from the main games can't make it out of the galaxy without having knowledge of how the third game ended.

Would be fantastic to see a wizened old Liara though.

Replaying the first game now. Are there any good side quests people would recommend? I usually avoid them in games like these as they're often boring as hell. Judging by my playtime of 19 hours I don't seem to have done many first time through, though I do remember one with a big insect queen I decided to save.

I thought they already said none of the previous characters are returning? Seems a bit of a copout if they go back on that.

Perhaps it will be a non-squad mate or something? Perhaps an Asari operative we only had minor interaction with? I'm looking forward to seeing if Andromeda had much foreshadowing in the original trilogy:cool:

I wonder how many plot holes will emerge this time?

Haven't you heard that's how we get to Andromeda!!! forget Black holes it's all about plot holes in 2016!!!;):p:D

Flash back to previous controversies:o:p

It's been so long since I played ME1 so hopefully some others can suggest:) I'm going to wait until 2016 before Andromeda to revisit the trilogy:cool:

The Rachni queen is one of the main plot worlds, you can't miss that one.

This page will show you all the side quests (assignments) you can pick up: http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Assignments

Note that if you're intending on doing a run into the second game I'd do as many as possible, higher levels unlock a boost to your character in the start of ME2: http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Save_File_Transfer#Character_Transfer

Didn't they say that Shepherd WOULDN'T be the main character in the new series? Glad they're using Femshep though. I have no idea who that dude they insisted on putting on the cover is!

God Jennifer Hale sounds so fantastic, really the most Iconic character in all of gaming to me, such a fantastic portrayal.

I did ME1 and ME2 as Good bloke 1st play-through, Renegade female 2nd play-through. Tried male shep in ME3 and was just no..no... I can't settle for inferior. So thanks to my PC, I managed to edit my save (this is on 360) so my good guy character was a female, and played both Rengade and Paragon play-throughs in ME3 as a FemShep, such a fantastic portrayal, captures every nuance of who that character is.

If you disagree - "My apology".
