****MASS EFFECT : ANDROMEDA****

Nice. I might replay through the ME games when I've done with Fallout. Will have to make a note of this one. ME1 looking a bit potato is one of the worst things.

I wish they would sort the bloody DLCs out before I dive in for a replay, it's been long enough so give us a proper GOTY edition.

It has been long enough. In an ideal world there would be a release of the entire trilogy with all dlc, and controller support for each game!

I can dream

It is silly the number of hoops you have to jump through to get all the content that's available.

I agree they should have produced a trilogy GOTY edition - but perhaps they were worried it wouldn't sell so well after ME3? I still think it would have been a good idea for the convenience.

An interesting theory about the timeline has been discussed over on the Bioware forum (source of theory unknown but welldone to whoever put it together)

I know you guys are going to shoot it down so I came prepared:eek:

Do not read if you haven't played ME1,2,3 as there are spoilers!!

As we don't really have anything to go on it's fun to speculate if nothing else:)

Awesome, I'll be using this. ;)

The new Andromeda trailer gave me the itch to play through the 3 games again. Only 2 hours into the first game and loving it again - the old graphics don't bother me at all. This will be nice though.

ME is probably one of my favourite game franchises ever. On paper I shouldn't like it. Sci-fi and RPGS aren't really my thing (there are exceptions. Battle Star Galactica and The Witcher) and I only stumbled across this game when it came out by chance. My PC was old, my PS3 had died and I was playing on my Xbox, ran out of games so a friend told me to just give it a chance. I did and I never looked back.

Played through 1 and 2 on the 360 and then since I've completed the trilogy on PC twice currently on my third.

I've still never had a game make me scream at the TV the same way as when I first saw who 'Archangel' really was.

I enjoyed that!

The only problem I have with that speculative timeline is:
Shepard's death is listed at the end of Mass Effect and not at the beginning of Mass Effect 2. This severely grinds my gears because it takes away one of the most stupid things they decided to do in ME2 with the Lazarus nonsense project.
:p

Everything else looks very well structured.

I'm glad I stumbled across it as well, someone really put a lot of effort into it and made some enthralling theories:)

Point taken and understood sir:p:D

This is at the top of my 2016 wish list!! The next 12 months are going to be like DA:3's launch I expect so at some point I'm going to have to avoid possible spoilers!!!...until then I'm absorbing all possible news:o:D

I echo previous thoughts about hoping the ME 2 and 3 DLC on PC will go on offer but I think I'm probably just going to have to stump up the pennies again. I played them originally on 360 but wanted to play again on PC before Andromeda drops. I guess we can keep our fingers crossed for a Christmas sale:cool::D

I still don't understand why they haven't put ME1 on the house through Origin yet. Surely they know that it will then drive sales of 2 and then 3 off the back of it?

An Update on Mass Effect: Andromeda

By Aaryn Flynn, General Manager of BioWare

With Mass Effect™: Andromeda, our team at BioWare™ is exploring how far they can take this beloved franchise. Yes, we’re building the best of what we all love about Mass Effect – amazing stories, characters and fun third-person shooter combat – and bringing them along with us on the expedition to Andromeda. But we’re also excited to be introducing new features and ways you can enjoy a Mass Effect game.

• More Freedom: One of our biggest ambitions is to give players an unprecedented level of freedom for a Mass Effect experience –where you’ll go, how you’ll get there, and how you’ll play.

• New Uncharted Worlds: We’re leaving the Milky Way behind and headed to Andromeda, where we’ll meet new allies, confront new enemies, and explore fascinating new worlds.

• The Next Great Mass Effect Experience: Mass Effect: Andromeda will be the first Mass Effect game for today’s consoles and the first built on the Frostbite engine. We’re pushing the technology to deliver visuals, story, and gameplay that have never been done in franchise history.

As we’ve been playing the game at the studio recently, it’s showing us that we’re taking the game in the right direction. But we also know we need the right amount of time to make sure we deliver everything the game can be and should be – that’s our commitment from all of us to all of you. Because of that, Mass Effect: Andromeda will now ship in early 2017. We can’t wait to show you how far we’re all going to go. We’ll see you at the EA PLAY press conference on June 12, with an update.

Thank you for your patience and support.

Taken from Here

I think pretty much everybody had worked out it wasn't going to ship this year, tho it's nice to have it confirmed.
