Massive blast in Beirut

Holy crap that's a big explosion, there's surely going to be a fair size death toll from the nearby buildings/areas, looking at the 'aftermath' video on Twitter above, that's a lot of damage :(

Nobody is daft enough to have a fireworks factory next to a petrol station are they?

Warehouse 12 is general storage warehouse, so could have anything in there. The large tall building that also explodes is the grain silo which can hold 120 thousand tons.

They just so happened to be filming it?
That's immense

Any news on what it was?

There's a massive ****ing plume of smoke, I'd be filming if that was coming from Brighton Marina too. Not everything is a conspiracy.

Impressive...fireworks...okkkkaaaaayyyyyyyy

Now I'm no CT, so yeah, it could be fireworks

I mean, they're made with gun powder so they likely had 100s or 1000s of tons of the stuff if that's what it was.

It wasn't that long ago a russian fireworks factory went up. There was a hell of a bang, but nothing like this.

It looks like a mini nuke has detonated.

Not quite as impressive as the Tianjin explosion in China but not far off. That doesn't look like fireworks exploding though - quite a few videos on YT of fires and explosions at those.
