V56/V64/1070 level of performance shouldn't be over £300. I'm the consumer, that's what i value these cards at in terms of performance. And i'm not alone in that regard.

You have to take into consideration that each new node is more expensive to develop than the last and the likes of AMD and Nvidia have to get a return on their investment somehow.

They aren't going to make a loss to support your unrealistic opinion of value. We can always hope that next gen prices will be lower but I wouldn't bet more than a quid on that happening

Yeah is very well built, you can feel the quality when you hold it. could have gone for a budget GTX 1080 card which are cheaper atm, but a few more quid for a faster well built GPU with no spyware is worth it imho.

This will do until team red bring something new next year or whenever.

Given Vega's are power\thermal throttled, just buy a v56 and overclock\undervolt and it'll be same as v64 overclock\undervolt.

Vega 64 is a 13 TeraFLOP GPU. It's an absolute beast. It's just unfortunate that the rubber is not fully meeting the road, so to speak, for current games.

Obviously it hasn't really worked out for AMD this round, but Vega certainly isn't a low/mid-range part masquerading as a high-end part in terms of hardware.

Get tired of this "good price for today" crap.

No it isn't, not when we have had this performance for 2+ years already now and certainly not when prices have been much better than this

Technology should be evolving every year and old gen stuff should be getting cheaper, not stagnating and going up in price......

The mining boom cost huge demand and as a result, stock and supply became an issue hence why prices shot up (and obviously miners were more than happy to pay way over the odds due to the massive return on their investment) but even when the mining interest declined, most gamers/people/idiots were still happy to buy at inflated prices. The only reason prices are starting to drop now is because nvidia's new GPUs are right around the corner.

Yes RAM prices haven't helped but it's not as bad as some like to make out.....
