Matched betting - who's done it and who's good at it? (No Referrals)

I put my final 3rd free £10 bet on Russia to win the Eurovision, but because of the gay vote Russia came second and I lost... BUT betfair had a promotion if any country scored 0 points all bets are returned, Austria and Germany got 0 :D
So today I put my free £10 bet on Wolfsburg to beat Dortmund again, for some reason Wolfsburg wasn't the favourites again! They just won 3-1 £17.50 return :D

It is for sure exciting, but luckily I find it more stressful than fun. I don't know how people bet their own money, I'm worried just to lose my free bet, luckily all 3 won for a total of £48.83.

I started with £50. I have a separate bank account so it doesn't come near my daily finances. I made £800 last month which was great but it is slow when you have to wait for withdrawals. Keep it separate and don't use Skrill is the best advice I can give really.

£800 is really good! Do you need full membership with PA to get that? Will betfair give me any more offers?

You don't need it, but it certainly helps. Loads of people post stuff all the time and it's just great to be part of a community where everyone has the same interest. It saves so much time it's ridiculous. The guys who run it are brilliant. I wouldn't even consider quitting that now.

Try it for a month, it's well worth it.

I've also been using the PA website over the past week. Unsure of my final total made (as I am waiting for a load of offers to come in). I had a good bankroll so did loads of offers at once.

I have also cancelled my PA subscription after the first month. I feel the offers get a lot worse. Such as you have wager x10 to unlock a £30 bonus.

I still don't understand how I could have made more than £18 from a £10 free bet  I have one more left and very keen to know!

It had a roughly one-in-three chance of winning. This time you made £18, but about two-thirds of the times you place that bet you will make £0. The average return of the bet you're placing isn't £18 - it's about £6.

As I said, by betting at higher odds you can increase that return to £8 or more. So after 100 free bets, you'd expect to make £200 extra profit.

Loads are like that though. The point is to deliberately try and lose the bet so that the cash ends up in your exchange.

Losing is ideal, but you can't consistently pick bets which will lose. If you could then you'd be better off just becoming a bookie :D

The real point is to extract as much cash from each free bet as you can!

I agree that is is often desired to lose as it is just plain easier!

Woo a few pennies off £1000 now since Dec 2013!

Signed up to PA. Working my way through the list. Doing it one by one though, taking a while. I think I'd get confused if I did 3 or 4 at a time. What do you all do?

I have signed up too after reading all of this thread, it is a little daunting and I'm taking my time too don't want to make any costly mistakes :)

One question I have, I already have a coral account so I'm not sure I could use Coral for the bet as I don't think I would qualify for the free bet although I haven't use the account in a couple of years would I be right. if so just sign up to another bookie I guess
