Soldato
I must be the only one who thinks this film is brilliant. The fight scenes weren't too long at all. I loved the bullet time effects during the fight with Smiths. It had such tension to it. When it slowed down, you knew Neo was going to hit him, its just creating a moment of tension, of anticipation. I loved it. Its like licking your lips before you eat a doughnut. You can see how sweet the next few moments are going to be, so savour them.
Peeps do realise that the story was written before the 1st came out right? Its not a tacked on sequel, the Matrix is a trilogy. The Watchowski bros also said they designed prequels and it could easily go either way, hence the Animatrix.
The whole sex/rave scene I felt worked well upon a 2nd viewing. It showed the passion of the dancers, the heat, the sweat and intermixed it with Neo & Trinity's sex scene to emphasie their passion and heat. It was needed to remind people that they are in love. Without it everyone would be complaining about the ending, saying "I just didn't feel that Neo loved Trinity".
I can honestly say I've never seen a more amazing film. Ep2 was cool, and I loved it. Reloaded really just shocked me. I knew it would be good, be holy pringles batman, it was incredible.
The car chase scene, again was not too long at all. I loved it. I was like "OMG OMG OMG OMG" thru it all, I didn't have a chance to catch my breath and go "how long was that?" I watched a documentary which said exactly that. By the end the audience is meant to be exhausted. I know i was Like Link said "I can't take it".
