Mattresses - I need knowledge

How small is too small a room for a King Size bed? One of the bedrooms in my new house is 2.97m wide by 2.64 across. I'd be looking to put the bed with the 'long end' (the 2.00m of the mattress) across the room along the 2.64m axis (obviously leaving me 60cm). Granted it will dominate the room, but too much?

Anyone who's had a John Ryan origins-pocket-1500 (looking at a super king) for a while care to comment on its condition/dips etc now?

Looking to buy a bed and this seems to be peaking interest.

Had it for 2 years in my flat, sleeping on it every night (king size, me and the missus).

After moving house it's been in our guest room as we upgraded to a superking waterbed. Every guest we had has commented on the comfort of it.

Generally very pleased, no issues and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in.

We've had our origins pocket 1500 for just over a week and we're quite impressed with it.

Although I'm still waking up with back ache I'm going to give it 30 days and make a decision

We had a Simba for about 3 months, I really liked it by my other half was getting hip pain so it had to go back. The return was utterly painless though so it's worth getting one if only to see how you like it.

UPS tried to deliver it this morning but I was already in work. I was going to get it later on as I have a plumber round at the moment but as I was sorting something in the kitchen I noticed a UPS van. The driver was in the area so tried to redeliver. Brilliant!

I've put the mattress on the bed, I know I'm meant to leave it several hours but I couldn't help a quick lay down. First impressions are that it's quite soft so I'll have to see how it goes. The 100 day guarantee is handy should I want to send it back.

Looking for a cheap mattress to use at my house that I only stay at 2/3 nights per week

The current one is well past its time, considering a cheap memory foam from Amazon. Anyone know if they are any good or total trash? As it is only for a couple of nights a week it doesn't need to be amazing and I don't want to spend much as I'll only be there for another few months

Any advice on where I can get a memory foam mattress? I don't want to spend more than around £80 if possible

I've seen Ikea sell them as well, anyone tried theirs?

Have the cheapest Ikea spring mattress, that I bought for my brother when he came to stay with me for a while, so like you, didn't wanna spend too much.

It's okay, not bad, but then again we usually buy the best we can afford on mattresses, so used to sleep on good ones.

Be careful with Ikea they do their own weird sizes so may be too small/big for your base if it's not from Ikea

I think theres a big thread on here about Mattresses from a while back. I need to dig it out as we need a new one. Can feel the springs in ours over the last few months.

Am wondering if these new ones like Simba/Wren are actually any good.
